The kitchen looked incredibly vibrant and colorful due to the presence of the various ingredients that were littered across the oak counter. To make the place look more harmonious, the Chef came down from the stairs with a young female by his side.Chef: Bonjour, my friends! In tonight's birthday special, we have a very special celebrity. Judging by the big smiles on all your faces, I'm pretty sure you all know her quite well. But for those who don't let me start off with a small introduction about her. She is a very energetic person who loves her work to the fullest and her biggest secret is that she's a BIG foodie. More popularly known as Twinkle Taneja a.k.a. the Siyappa Queen of Indian Television, I present to you JASMIN BHASIN!.As everyone clapped in excitement, Jasmin entered the kitchen while waving to everyone in the audience. Standing before the counter and the audience, Jasmin and the Chef shook hands.Chef: Hello, Jasmin! How are you?Jasmin: I'm fine, Chef. How are you?Chef: I'm very well. As everyone knows, we call upon special people for our birthday segments. Since it just so happens to be your birthday, we're going to make a really special dish which is close to your heart. Jasmin, just so the audience knows, what dish is your most favorite?Jasmin: Well, I'm a big foodie so I can eat anything and everything. My co-stars always wonder where the food goes and how I'm still able to remain fit.Everyone laughs.Jasmin: Jokes apart, I love food and I can eat anything but there is one particular dish that I love the most. It's a Thai dessert called Red Rubies in Coconut Milk.Chef: Then, let's make your favorite dish!Jasmin: Let's fire away!Chef: First, we're going to mix and boil all the ingredients of the coconut milk syrup. We have thick coconut milk, water, castor sugar, salt and pandan leaves which are tied in a knot.They boil the food to medium to high heat.Jasmin: Hmmm, it smells so good! I can't wait to taste it.Chef: Yes, Jasmin. Now that the boiling is done, we will take out the pandan leaves and let it cool in the fridge.They put the mixture in the fridge and let it cool for a while.Chef: Jasmin, so you like to be foodie. Can you tell us what else you like to eat?Jasmin: Definitely! I mean, you can give me anything to eat. I even like to gobble upon my co-stars' birthday cakes.đ But one of my all time favorite dish has to be butter chicken. It's so yummy!Chef (laughing): I'm sure you love it! Meanwhile, let's bring out the mixture for the second step.The Chef brings out the mixture.Jasmin: Hmm, I know I said this before, but it smells even better now!Chef: Let's add red coloring and few tablespoons of water. I have already cut the water chestnuts so we should add them to the coloring water and let it rest. While, I have already prepared another one so we shall drain out the water and put the chestnuts with tapioca flour. We're going to use a fork to fold the flour onto the chestnuts in order to ensure that they are evenly coated. After the color appears to be whitish, we are good to go. Then, we will let it rest for 15 minutes before boiling it again.Jasmin: Seriously, Chef! It smells so good that the mouses are playing soccer in my stomach. I just love this dish so much.Chef: Even we can't wait to celebrate your birthday with full zest! Meanwhile, we have already placed some cold water in another pot as we need to place the cooked water chestnuts. As you can see, in a big pot, our water is boiling so we will add the floured water chestnut cubes. They are going to the bottom for now but when they float back up we will know that they are cooked. Let's transfer these cubes to cold water and let them rest for five minutes. Meanwhile, who teases you the most when it comes to food on set?Jasmin: Definitely, Sidhant. I mean, he always wonders where so much food travels to in my body. In return, I tease him about his protein powder & his diet. đChef: Oh wow! đ And, whom do you bond the most with?Jasmin: Everyone is nice on the set but I guess Sid and Zain. We're like bro-buddies on set. We know when to not mess with one another and when to push the right buttons to rile each other up.Chef: Glad to hear about your bondings. Meanwhile, let's check upon the the cubes as they can't stick together. To prevent this from happening, we will add some more cooked water. Also, let's put some water chestnuts , chilled coconut syrup, and serve it as a dessert.Placing the dish before her, he asked, "Jasmin, please tell us how does the dish tastes."With a grand grin and twinkling excited eyes, Jasmin takes a big bite. After the morsel in her mouth was finished, she exclaimed, "It's amazing, Chef! One of the best birthday dishes I have tasted so far. Mmm! It's just so yummy!" đChef: Thanks, Jasmin.
