Trisha's residence

Trisha came back home on time as she had to make the preparations for karva chauth pooja. She had bought all the necessary things from the market while coming from the office. She was preparing dinner in the kitchen, she had prepared everything which Raghav likes to have. She knew he won't be there for the pooja and dinner tonight, but she wanted to have everything of his choice today. While cooking she recalled the Radhika case when Raghav was surprised to see her having knowledge about the kitchen along with her work. She wished he was here with her to actually see for himself, how well she can manage the kitchen. After preparing dinner, she decided to get ready for pooja as the time for moonrise was nearing. She was thinking on what to wear, whether she should wear a suit or a saree. Then she recollected that he liked to see her in a saree (she recalled her birthday party), so she took out a beautiful maroon saree with green border which her mother had specially got for her. She had been arranging sarees for her wedding purpose already, Trisha was feeling very lonely today as both Raghav and her parents were not with her today. But she gathered her courage once again to face everything bravely and got ready in that saree and while finishing her make up in front of the mirror, she felt as if Raghav was looking at her from behind and admiring her good looks. She became shy seeing him look at her passionately but after few minutes, she realised that it was just her imagination. She became sad when this realisation came to her. Again when she was arranging the pooja thali, she kept on imagining Raghav with her at each and every step, seeing her arrange everything perfectly. She was waiting for moon to come up in the sky and was constantly thinking about him and the way he left her alone. She wished him to be there with her on her first karva chauth fast. It is always a dream of every girl to enjoy the first karva chauth with her husband, but she knew that her life was just not like any other girl. She had been going through a very tough phase of her life and she was well determined to face everything bravely.

After some time, the moon was shining bright in the sky, she could hear voices of people excited about the moonrise from outside her house and it was time for the pooja. She picked up the pooja thali and went outside in her garden and saw pooja going on in every nearby house. She tried to recall how her mother used to carry out this pooja. She carefully carried out each and every step and remembered her mother and Raghav at each step. When she was looking at the moon through the mesh, suddenly she saw Raghav standing in front of her. She closed her eyes as she thought that once again, this was her imagination. Few seconds later, when she opened her eyes; still Raghav was standing there. She thought that she was hallucinating him to be there as he would never come for this pooja today, especially after the way he reacted after her confession in front of him. She still had her eyes closed as she was finding it difficult to continue the pooja with the imagination of Raghav being there. After some time, she felt a kiss on her cheek and she immediately opened her eyes. She couldn't believe that Raghav was actually standing there. He was looking at her lovingly and smiling.

Trisha: "tum... tum yahan... kaise?"

Raghav: "ha main yahan..."

Trisha: "but tum yahan kyun aaye? Tum to mere liye kuch feel hi nahi karte, tabhi to us din mujhe akela chhod kar chale gaye the... Phir kyun... aur tumhe kisne bataya ki aaj maine fast rakha hai?" she said keeping the pooja thali on a side table.

Raghav: "ab tum mere skills ko doubt bhi karne lagi ho...main apni biwi ke first karva chauth par nahi aau, aisa kaise ho sakta hai?"

Trisha: "biwi???...really??" She shook her head and turned around and tried to move inside. He pulled her back, turned her around and engaged her between his arms. She struggled to free herself but could not and after few seconds, she gave up..." Kya chahte ho tum?"

Raghav: "maafi... bahut hurt kiya hai na maine tumhe..."

Trisha was surprised to hear this, but she could not say anything, just kept on looking at him stunned. He released her from his arms and decided that this was the time when he has to confess his love for her.

Raghav:" I'm sorry Trisha... Main bahut bura hu... tumne mere liye itna kuch kiya aur main... Maine kya kiya? Tumse itna pyaar karte huye bhi tumse keh nahi paya aur tumhara dil dukhaya. Kya karu Trisha, darta tha main, ki agar meri wajah se tumhe kuch ho gaya to, main khud ko na to maaf kar paaunga, na hi khud ko sambhaal paaunga. Itne dino se khud se ladai lad raha hu, mera dil aur dimaag dono alag direction me soch rahe the. Dil kehta tha ki tumse apne pyar ka izhaar kar du aur dimaag kehta tha ki tumse door rahu. Ab tak mere dimaag ki jeet ho rahi thi aur uski wajah se maine itna bada gunaah kiya, tumhe itna rulaya maine. Bahut mushkil se, itni kashmakash ke baad aaj mere dil ne mujhse kaha ki dil ki dhadkan band hone ke baad dimaag ka main kya karunga? Tab mujhe ehsaas hua ki meri dhadkan to tum ho Trisha, tumhare bina main kuch bhi nahi... Please mujhe maaf kar do. I really love you Trisha... humesha se... jab se tumhe dekha hai maine sirf tumse pyar kiya hai."

Trisha was listening to everything dumbstruck. She had tears continuously flowing from her eyes and words just didn't come up to her mouth, she just could not react. Raghav saw her tears and blamed himself for all this.

Raghav: "ab itni lambi speech di hai, kuch kahogi nahi, aur kuch nahi to clap hi kar do..." he also had tears in his eyes and slight smile on his face looking at her, he wanted to ease her down a bit.

Trisha: "Pooja kar le... Bahut bhook lagi hai..." she said with a lot of difficulty after composing herself.

Raghav suddenly realised that she must not have anything to eat or drink since morning. He wiped off the tears on her face and then they carried on with the pooja and after completion, he pointed towards his feet for her to touch. He had seen in the movies that during this pooja, wives do touch their huband's feet. She resisted initially but he teasingly told her that the pooja will not be complete without this. She decided to do as he said, otherwise he would not let it go. She bent down on her knees and touched his feet but she could not get up. She burst out crying, but this time these were tears of happiness. She could not imagine even in her dreams that she would get to see such a day in her life, especially after what she had gone through over the last few months. She could not believe herself, today he had confessed his love for her for which she had been craving since such a long time. He had overcome all his fears and memories of his past just for her sake today, for the intense love he has in his heart for her.

He saw her crying badly and he too bent down and took her in his tight embrace. She could not control her tears today, she wanted to shed all her grief out from her heart today. He kept on trying to console her, repeatedly begging to pardon him for what he did with her. He promised her that he would give her the entire happiness in this world, she would get what she deserves and he won't let tears coming to her eyes ever in life in future. He kept on softly caressing her hair throughout. After some time, she managed to compose herself and control her tears, she saw him with all the love she had in her heart for him and said "I love you very much Raghav, agar aaj tum nahi aate to main tumhe kabhi maaf nahi karti". He told her that he knew how important is today's day for her and he wiped her tears and kissed her on her face. He then he lifted her in his arms and took her inside to the dining table. He made her sit down on the chair and with her instructions, he himself arranged the dinner table for them. He gave her water followed by food himself lovingly. He too had dinner along with her, he relished the meals made by her like a small child. He made her smile in between with his usual pranks. They both were very happy today as they were finally able to confess their love today.

Raghav: "main janta hu Trisha, aaj karva chauth par mujhe tumhe gift dena chahiye, but kya aaj main tumse kuch maang sakta hu?"

Trisha: "kya chahiye tumhe?"

Raghav: "mujhse shaadi karlo..."

Trisha heard this and got up from her chair shaking her head.

Raghav: "kya hua Trisha... tum mujhse shaadi nahi karna chahti?"

Trisha: "waise to Raghav humari shaadi ho chuki hai... but if you still want to marry me as your gift, to main tumhe ek chance dungi but then you will have to earn it for yourself." She said teasingly.

Raghav: "what??" He sounded shocked... "Kya karna hoga mujhe?"

Trisha: "tumhe mujhe ek unique style me propose karna hoga and I have to be impressed with your proposal... otherwise shaadi ko bhool jaao aur jo shaadi ho chuki hai, usi me khush raho... ok."

Raghav: "suna tha log paer pe kulhadi marte hai, maine kulhadi pe paer rakh diya hai... main to tumhe shaadi ke poore experience ki khushi dena chahta tha, tumne to mujhe exam scenario me phasa diya..."

Trisha: "ab apni boss se shaadi karna chahte ho to exam to pass karna padega... "she said mischeviously. "Waise main poochna bhool gayi... tum ghar ke andar kaise aaye?"

Raghav: "tumhare padosi ke ghar ki khidki se tumhari garden me jump karke..."

Trisha: "tum choron ki tarah behave karna kab chhodoge Raghav?"

Raghav: "but main tumhare jaisa bada chor nahi hu..."

Trisha: "chori aur maine, kya chori kiya maine?"

Raghav: "kyun tumne mera dil nahi churaya kya?"

Trisha: "ab flirting band karo aur proposal ke baare me sochna shuru kar do... ok... good night. Ab ghar jaao aur so jaao, I'm also very tired today."

Raghav: "aaj bhi mujhe ghar bhejogi...apne husband ko?"

Trisha: "tum ek baar decide kar lo...abhi keh rahe the ki mujhse dobara shaadi karna chahte ho aur ab mere saath...hmmm? iraada kya hai?"

Raghav realised that he was himself trapped in his own wish and like an obedient student started to move out from her house but as she was about to close the door, he prevented her from closing the door and gave her a light kiss on her lips. She was amazed at this sudden kiss from him but she was extremely happy today, she had got her love back. She was eager to see how he proposes her in his unique style. Unintentionally, she had a curiosity built up inside her but she was a bit scared also considering his mischevious nature. Na jaane wo kya karega, she thought.

She cleaned the dining table and the kitchen and was about to change her clothes and was thinking about the proposal challenge when suddenly someone came from behind and wrapped his arms around her waist. She saw in the front mirror and found that person to be none other than Raghav.

Trisha: "tum phir... Gaye nahi ab tak... is baar bhi choron ki tarah se..."

Raghav: "is baar chori to ki but enter maine shareefon ki tarah se kiya hai.."

Trisha: "kya churaya is baar?"

Raghav: "tumhare ghar ki duplicate keys".

Trisha: "but why? Tum wapas kyun aa gaye?"

Raghav: "mera jane ka man nahi kar raha tha. Tumhare saath time spend karna chahta hu, itni mushkil se yeh din aaya hai. Tumhe yaad hai maine tumse poocha tha ki kya tum mere saath saree pehenkar date par chalogi? Aaj phir pooch raha hu... mere saath long drive pe chalogi?

She readily agreed to come with him on a long drive. He drove the car to a place quite far away on a highway. He asked her to get down from the car with her eyes closed. He held her hand and took her to a place and asked her to open her eyes. She saw this place to be surrounded by trees full of beautiful flowers and lovely aroma of flowers was present all around. The area beneath the trees was all covered with flowers that had fallen down from the trees. The entire area was dimly lighted with the full moon light being filtered through the tree leaves. It was such a beautiful place, she got lost in the nature's beauty for some time. They both sat down on a sheet he had spread on a suitable place where they could see the entire sky full of stars and moon.

They spent the night in each other's arms, talking about their feelings for each other, how they both didn't realise when and how they fell in love with other despite the fact that they are poles apart in their thoughts and methodology of working. After some time he noticed her to be feeling slightly tired, he made her lie down in his lap and they kept on talking to each other and enjoying each others company. He kept on caressing her hair lightly and she was very happy to be with him...so close. When the sunlight shone up in the sky, they realised that it was early morning and they should be returning back home. They started towards her residence and she was sitting with her head on his shoulder. After some time, he realised that she had gone off to sleep and he held her lovingly all through the way. He was feeling extremely relieved today as he had got what he was waiting for since a very long time. He himself didn't know how could he be so heartless with her, he just can't see even a single tear in her eyes and just out of his past, he unintentionally brought innumerable tears in her eyes. But now he had to make up for whatever he did with her, he would give her all the happiness she deserves along with an unforgettable experience of their marriage. He knew the situations in which they got married initially was not a very pleasant experience to be remembered by both of them. He left her sleeping in her bedroom and after kissing her forehead, he too left for his home. When she woke up late afternoon, she was surprised to see herself in her bedroom. A note was placed on the table which was written by Raghav.
