She was thought that no one else could compete her cos she was always brought up in such an environment were she was praised for her beauty whereas somu always sought praises from her mother and nani. And she was the only one who saved somu from all those accusations of being a theif.
I hope they dont destroy her char beyond repair.

Surbhi's character is like if she doesn't get the attention of those people who always put her bin a pedestal, she becomes jealous, does weird things and becomes very weak to be brainwashed by anyone. It was clear from the childhood. When Somu told her she was kidnapped because she was beautiul, we have seen Surbhi feeling bad and putting those weird make-up to be like Soumya. Also in those batwara episodes when Mannu uncle was showing his fake love towards Somu, Surbhi felt insecure. So its her characterization which I am glad is kept consistent. I don't know how they are planning to mold her character but right now she is as she was in the childhood.
