Mani is only because he has to play off Raman's emotions. Jealous , anger, aggressive tone , a comparison between good guy-bad guy. Work on his insecurities. Or literally there is no point to it. I don't mind friendships especially for FLs but no writer keeps it like that..they not only use this one sided lowe track but worse they use it to put down the ML which makes the guy seem shitty, question the relevance and just the whole equation is tainted.All for cheap drama tactics. Probably why I detest this one more than Shagun at times, because her equation a always clear. It's Mani who handicaps Raman and Shagun is there to elevate Ishita and to create the disbalance more.

While Shagun is something they always had , Mani was specifically brought it to curtail story telling for Raman. Bala, Vandu etc who were Ishita's sounding board are extras now.
