hi ..i am a silent reader of this forum. after reading few posts about intersex ppl not able to menustrate and conceive. I decided to put some facts that i happened to read in a news paper.
its about a intersex person who has external female characteristics and overies that doesn't function. sometimes it's not a surprise to not detect the condition of the female until the person reaches certain age. that lady happened to learn when she went to a doctor. this happens one in a million.
'gonadal dysgenesis' is such a situation of having female characteristics with 95% male DNA. it is nothing but a miracle for this lady to conceive. so they implanted the fertilised egg in the female's womb (again this has been developed by treatment from having a tiny womb). later that lady delivered twins. this is nothing but a male kin delivering a baby.
i think sowmya has such a disease. there is a difference between transgender and intersex. when i happened to watch SBS segment they were saying sowmya might become a transgender in future. i don't think that's the case here.
