High-energy music by a Jamaican band (with a crooner in a figure-hugging ensemble showing off her legs and cleavage to great advantage) set the tempo for the night, after which the DJs in the house took over, making sure you had your dose of mind-blowing music from hip hop to Bollywood. DJ Akhtar Fazel was at his very best, interacting with the crowd and punctuating his sounds with some cheeky one-liners. Meanwhile, there seemed to be a flood of people on the dance floor, moving and shaking like there was no tomorrow. Watching from the sidelines were Manisha Koirala (who made a post-midnight hour entry), Jimmy Sheirgill who was heard talking about his forthcoming film, Marc Robinson and Kishin Mulchandani enjoying their champagne, Brinda Parekh in one corner and Siddharth Kannan all over the place. The TV fraternity joined the party later: Yash and Gouri Tonk along with Amita Chandekar kept the night young with their chirpy mood, Hiten Tejwani and Vikas Sethi bonded like brothers, while Shabbir Ahluwalia and Karan Patel enjoyed the night as well. Everyone wanted the party to go on all night long... and they weren't left disappointed! |
