You don't really need to express it. You and your loved one: where's the space for words? The feeling itself is so dreamy and dominant that confession seems unworthy and non existant. The world doesn't need to know what you feel, the thought of 'How Others Will React' itself seems so tensing that the whole beauty of it is lost somewhere. Not to mention, the worry of your love getting accepted. So, why can't it be the way it is?
And all these feelings and thoughts were being emoted by Shravan Malhotra rather simultaneously.
Pushkar had been nagging him to confess his love, to make Suman 'His', to plan a date, to word his emotions... Gosh! All this seemed difficult than staying with her all the time. Why couldn't they be left alone? Couldn't he just enjoy his 'Love'?
Guess, not.
Nevertheless, Shravan planned a beautiful date for him and Suman, on a Yacht. It was delicately decorated with Pink Ribbons and White Lilies. Dim lights were enclosed in bunches of Lavenders that hung from the sides.
The inside had a huge Centrepiece, an intricate Chandelier which lighted the whole of the boat. There was also a small room inside.
The outside was very peaceful. Soft rumble of water could be heard. The waves played outside, in a merry spirit. There were dim lights and if someone saw over the ceiling of the Yacht, a brilliant black velvety sky could be seen, topped with twinkling stars in the peaceful night.
And there! Sat Suman and Shravan, engrossed in each other's eyes. The plates were filled with food but their hunger was satisfied already: by the sight in front of them. The worries were left at bay as here, it was JUST the two of them.
Shravan played the recorder and instantly, the song 'Kaho Naa Pyaar Hai' was played. He asked for her hand and then the couple started swaying to the beats of the soulful song.
"Why don't you say it Shravan", thought Sumo. She was looking deep into his dark brown eyes that had a soft glint in them.
"As if you don't know, my love"
"Still, for my sake and satisfaction"
"Why, aren't you satisfied already?"
"Bah! Forgot I was talking to an Oxford Grad, London Return"
She broke off the eyelock and turned to the sea.
"What is it?"
"You don't understand Shravan, I'm afraid. What if Mami or Nanu just..."
"Shh!", Shravan pressed her lips with his fingers.
"I don't want my hard worked and planned date to get spoilt by some 'thoughts'. It was a deal, remember? You had promised me to talk of nothing else.
He stamped his foot in authority.
"And... I think there's no room for your worry as long as you have ME with you."
He raised his head with an air of pride.
"Is it, Mr. Malhotra?", teased Suman. And giggled softly too.
She came close and rested her head on his chest. And instantly, a pair of huge arms came wrapping around her.
"What are you doing exactly?", he mumbled.
"Listening to your heartbeat, cause that's music for me".
Shravan couldn't help but admiring his lady. His hand involuntarily moved to clear off her smooth flick from her Moon like face.
Teri jhuki nazar, teri har ada
Mujhe keh rahi hai ye dastaan
Koi shaqs hai jo ki in dinon
Tere zehan-o-dil pe hai chhaa gaya...
Shravan just shook his head. How much they were in love!
Kindled over the fire of perseverance, furnaces in the heat of destiny, their Love had emerged victorious over all odds. Maybe even destiny was tired of troubling them.
Shravan jerked open a Champagne Bottle and poured the glittering white liquid in two thin glasses.
They both drank ,facing the sea. Well, they were already drunk in love, weren't they?
"You look beautiful when you drink."
"Please, Shravan! Is there anything you don't like about me?"
"The way you frown!"
And the both of them giggled at their banter.
Time flew by. Soon, it was time to leave for the Hotel. It was almost midnight.
Suman and Shravan had been to Mumbai for a conference. It seemed only yesterday that they had set foot into the City Of Dreams. But a week had passed by and it was time to return to Delhi.
Presently, they were walking towards Hotel Sea Princess. It was close to the sea, where they had left the Yacht. Thus, they chose to walk. The lane was rather dark and the Hotel felt miles away. Suddenly, a car with loud banging music passed them. Suman clutched his sleeve. She was scared of the darkness. What if some gang captured them?
"Did I mention that your scared face seems equally cute?"
Shravan was definetly enjoying the moment. But his smile faded as he received a stare from his lady.
The Hotel came, at last. As they retired to their respective rooms, Shravan looked once, for the last time at her.
"Its just a few hours, Shravan, until we meet again.", she sighed jokingly.
As soon as he hit the bed, Shravan received a call.
"Bol Chote, soya nahi?"
"Aapne... Bola?"
"Nahi, jaane diya"
"Par kyun?!"
"Mohabbat hain, isiliye nahi bola. Zidd hoti, toh abhi meri baahon mein hoti."
*Wink*๐
