So, I still have to catch a few middle episodes of Swaragini after when Swara returns but reading the WU and watching a few ending episodes/ OLV's and reading discussion I just feel the writers are being unfair to Swara as a character with this track.
Before memory loss:
Swara had memory loss and not character loss. From the start when the show was introduced, she always had this hidden detective inside of her that poked her nose in anything fishy and solved it. She wanted good for everyone and saw reason in everything. She was smart, good with doubts and believed in people she loved.
This is what Swara Bose (later Swara Maheshwari) is as a character.
After memory loss:
Losing her memory has turned her character like 180 degree. Maybe her mind is overpowering her heart and what she remembers is just too strong but how is memory loss related to personality?
Having memory loss does not change what you actually are and last I checked Swara remembered most part of her life before her mother's marriage where she was still (detective in heart) and trusted her parents and whatever they said. She always saw reason and gave people benefit of doubt but after losing her memory, her character has just been ruined.
She won't trust her own parents and sister on what the real truth is. She won't see reason in anything. I mean she knows that she had memory loss which means a lot of her life is missing, a lot she does not know about but her loved ones do so instead of believing in them and actually giving them the benefit of doubt and trying to see reason, she is coming into Sahil's words (a guy she barely knows) and not believing her own parents and sister.
Since when was Sahil more important to Swara than her parents. (INFACT: Since when people came first and family later?)
Swara who was so smart, so intelligent, who wanted to get at the bottom of everything, how could she not try to find out what actually happened rather than just sitting in one plays in denial or hanging around with a psychopath (although that is not her fault since she does not know that) . Memory loss track would have been interesting to watch if they were keeping Swara's character like it originally was rather than changing it completely. It's like Swara has become a girl we barely know anymore.
Yeah, she is concerned sometimes about Sanskaar, wants to make her family happy and caring but where are the other traits that we loved her for? Why is she not trying to figure out everything. If she had complete memory loss I would understand but then even, a person does not change personality wise. Their habits and personality remains the same in one way or the other but this track is changing Swara as a whole and that's what I don't like.
I wish Swara was back to being smart and started her detective activities and I would be so much happier with that.
This is just my opinion because I can't see Swara as a character who is more convinced by her own truth despite her family saying that it is wrong. I can't see Swara as a dumb character because whatever they are making her do and act nowadays shows her as dumb (and that is NOT true!)
Anyway , I would love your opinion on this. Am I the only one who feels this? Maybe I am just overthinking or over analyzing but for me this is what Swara has become and I would like her to at least be the Swara she was.
