The door to the hospital room opened slowly, making as less noise as possible. The room was dark inside, but through the little light penetrating from the corridor, it was visible that the patient in the room was fast asleep. The door then closed, and the person entered on tip-toes.

Asad, tu kaha hai? whispered the voice.

Asad, who sat waiting responded Oh, aa gaye aap.

Just as the voice found Asad, the door to the hospital room opened slowly again. The voice was startled, but Asad held a hand assuring that things were alright. Just then, 2 shadows entered the room making as little noise as possible. They tip-toed, noticing a sleeping Swadheenta. Once the door closed, another voice whispered

Some one turned the light on in the room

Swadheenta who had been sleeping woke up with the sudden disturbance to see the entire band of Sinha siblings and Jaya bhabhi in the room with Asad. What is going on? What are you all doing here? Kya hua hai?

The rest of the day had been a worrying one for Adarsh, Jai, Jaya, Abhay and Swadheenta. Adarsh, Jai and Abhay had gone back to their offices unwillingly and Jaya had been extremely uncomfortable and apprehensive about leaving Swadheenta's side although her parents were with her. Swadheenta herself had been very restless with the new information she had been provided with. Try as much as she wants, she was nervous every time someone came in to give her some medicines or check on her vitals. Her parents and maamu and maami who were unaware of the developments of the morning dismissed her restlessness as her discomfort towards hospitals, much to her satisfaction. She was unsure if she will be able to explain anything to them at this present time. She had suggested that Asad stay with her tonight as well. If something were to go wrong, she rather she had Asad with her than her parents or maamu or maami. Also, just having him around would bring down her tension some. Asad had been looking forward to spending some time with her and readily agreed. As the elders were leaving, Swadheenta called Adarsh to let him know that Asad was staying with her this night as well, and that he should stay back and get some sleep. He had spent 2 sleepless nights and needed his rest too. Reluctantly he agreed, but was very uncomfortable about it.

Dinner at the Sinha's had been a fun-less affair much to the dismay of the parents. But even upon constant questioning, the youngsters gave away none of their worry and just attributed it to stress at work. They all retired early to their rooms.

Adarsh was extremely uncomfortable and was wondering if he should really listen to Swadheenta or if he should check on her. While he sat contemplating, Jaya, Jai and Abhay walked in to his room.

Jaya was quick to ask Swadheenta se baat hui. Kaun reh raha hai uske saath aaj?

Jaya made note of Asad's number just as Abhay also did. They all bid each other a good night and went back to their rooms.

Adarsh had been extremely restless and decided to check on her anyway. He didn't want them to be alarmed and hence thought of calling Asad to inform him of his intention to visit. Asad and Swadheenta had been chatting up. She had told him about accepting Adarsh's proposal last night, and he did his fair bit of teasing too. He was now telling her about his entire day at college and a new restaurant he tried that day when his phone rang. He was surprised to see Adarsh calling him, and answered the call. Adarsh told him that he intended to visit them and asked him not to mention it to Swadheenta since she had already asked him not to visit. Asad assured him that he will keep it a secret and disconnected the call. Just as he was about to start talking to Swadheenta again, his phone rang with an unrecognized number.

Errr... Asad walked a few steps away from Swadheenta to make sure that she couldn't hear him. Adarsh bhaiya bhi aa rahe hai kya aapke saath?

Asad couldn't help the naughty smile creeping up his lips. He was so happy for Freedom. They were all so concerned for her. He laughed to himself and was about to head back to her when his phone rang again.

Asad was now laughing to himself, but did not let Abhay know of it. Nahi nahi, mein usko nahi bataoonga. Aap aa jaaoo.

Just as Adarsh had arrived, Jaya bhabhi and Jai bhaiya had also come in. And before they could recover from this surprise, Abhay who had walked in to a dark room had turned on the light with the sudden surprised voices of recognition.

Everyone in the room looked at each other and suddenly started laughing loudly. The noise in the room was so loud that an nurse came in to check on the commotion. She admonished them for disturbing the other patients and informed them that they were breaking a million hospital rules. Abhay, the charmer in the group, took the nurse outside to convince her to give them some time, when Adarsh and Jai went up to Asad trying to playfully beat him for fooling all of them while Jaya went up to Swadheenta and hugged her warmly. Swadheenta who had realized what had happened by now hugged her back warmly. She felt so special with the way everyone was worrying about her and was so thankful for these simple pleasures.
