In response to the new article that says the show is going to end within 20 episodes. Is the show ending itself or is it forced to end quicker for the sake of other show for TRP? I think the show atleast needs 50 episodes. If it just needs only few episodes, it's fine. But if the article is true and if the channel is more eager in replacing it soone for another shiw's TRP rise, then it needs to be thought.

Acc. to the article, 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' will replace 'Dahleez' in the 10.30pm slot from July 1. According to sources, "Dahleez will go off air on June 26. 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' currently airs in the 5.30pm slot, but it has been observed that the show has got decent numbers in an earlier time slot and the channel is hoping that the show's ratings will get better in the later, prime-time slot. The timespend on 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' has been better than 'Dahleez' and 'Tamanna', which is why the channel decided to shift the show to a prime-time slot. Shashank Vyas , who played Jagya in 'Balika Vadhu', will be entering the show soon and the makers are looking to capitalize on his fan base." Meanwhile, 'Tamanna' will also go off air on June 26 and will be replaced by the Nakuul Mehta- starrer 'Ishqbaaz' . Yash Patnaik, producer of 'Jaana Na Dil Se Door' remained unavailable for comment.

What exactly does the article mean? Or, perhaps the channel? That particular show is nothing but one regular waste crap, regular non sense which might be catchy for regular audience. On the other hand is Dahleez which is like welcome change, a fresh script, well thought, well executed with talented actors who live through the characters which have great depth. If that show is the reason for the fast ripping off Dahleez, then i'm sure to say that Channel business people and common people shall never grow up. Same happened with Ek Haseena Thi. Though it is a finite series, it got much faster climax than it is supposed to be. Now, again with Dahleez.

If a track like Asad , Abhay death shocks need much long time, how can the makers end it fastly? How can you assume the show is dragging or boring when the script demands that long emotional turmoil for characters who naturally go through much pain and are devastated? If only they watch it properly! Any normal people go through the samething in the same way and the team reflected it. How can u assume tht show is any low to that so called show which is being liked by certain section of audience? Till now the show thoughtfully executed all sequences like a chain of tracks...Adarsh and Swadheentha's backgrounds, their relations, their love story, their acheivement towards their marriage, the unexpected disaster in their lives, their will to fight for their justice...Certain sequence requires to be long and certain others require to be short and fast. The main and imp. sequence just started and it atleast need a handful of episodes as much as 50! But thanks to the so called audience and channel that we get a very fast, abrupt ending within 20 episodes itself.

All i can say is these people can never grow up. If that show is achieving success from it's target audience, then fine! But why to change it to a slot where another show for it's own target audience is still running, inorder to get much more TRPs and audience? Why that much money hunger Star Plus? You proved it once again! If you want to move it to any other slot, axe off the most non sense time wasting show at present or ever Mere angne mein! Why can't audience or channel understand that these so called shows are just aimed at money with no thoughts. they're all regular non sense drama which just waste the time! There's nothing to watch in these 2 shows, iam not saying about other shows. There may be some shows which entertain in their own way but shows like mere angne mein
are purely waste of time...they don't even know what to show and try to fill that particular day's time. That's it! All they need is business with no product.

On the other hand, you have sensible shows like Ek Haseena thi, everest, dahleez, tamanna, etc. Yes, they are finte shows, but that doesn't mean you can take them for granted. They might end fast and people know it, but that doesn't give you right to end them too fast than they're supposed to be which spoils their tracks. These shows are like mirrors of reality around us and also teach determination, give inspiraation to fight against all social odds bravely. Just watch yesterday's Dahleez and Tamanna episodes. How calm are the two female protagonists when they are dealing with two sick minded people who are shouting out their ill thoughts!

How calm, composed and collected is Dhara as a responsibe citizen when she is dealing with a sick minded father who keeps on barking how his son's coach madam is teaching his son against their religion and to be united with other religion people! The thing Dhara said later is like a lesson. Change doesn't come fast, It happens gradually. It takes time to change the people's wrong thoughts which are programmed into them since their childhood. It happens but slowly.

Similarly see with how much cool, confidence and maturity as a lawyer did Swadheentha deal with the out rageous lawyer. Her power is the truth. It is with her and that gives her confidence. These two female leads teach us to how to act and when to act and deal with people and circumstances sensibly. Keep yourself in the position of Swadheentha or Dhara in yeterday's episodes where both had to deal with two sick men respectively who were on wrong side and yet barking when most
people are aginst them.

It does no good to you if you either stay numb speaking nothing and fearing like Jana na dil se door and mere angne mein female leads or it does no good to you even if you too stats shouting unnecessarily getting way too furious over their words. I used to behave the latter way too...but
characters like Durga, Dhara and Swadheentha taught me how to balance my emotions and deal with odd people and critical situations. These business minded people say we are here to entertain you not to teach you(well most!), be it movies, serials or anyother. But it is a fact that these things around us are what shape us..movies, tv, music, etc.

Good movies, good music, good shows with balance of logic, sensitivity and entertainment can bring both peace and responsiblity in people. There needs to be a balance. There need to be limits. Making catchy but non sense shows, movies and songs can give easy way to success and profit fastly. But they spoil people's minds. Good music, good lyrics used to keep most people balanced atleast till 2005. See now, mostly crappy songs with no meaning with sole intention to get instant sucess, popularity and
money. Current youth is nothing but the reflections of Yo Yo Honey Singh kind of songs. That is what happens if you don't work with responsiblity. It is obvious that youth can get easily attracted to Yo yo type songs and normal audience can get attracted to regular non sense drama and these money minded makers cash on their weaknesses. They only act selfish solely for their fast success with no responsibilty towards progress of people's minds. Talent and success have to go hand in hand. What you see and hear makes you. Our brain still tends to learn from what we generally seek as a stress buster, as an entertainment.

A teen kid still finds comfort in reading rhymes, stories intented to much younger kids. That doesn't mean we stop them from learning maths, physics and chemistry. There needs to be progress and soon the teen kid gets habituated to learning more matured subjects of his/her age. Similarly media plays imp. role in conditioning it's general audience. They need entertainment for sure after doing their share of work be it professional or household. That doesn't mean you still go the easy old age way of showing ghosts, snakes, never ending non sense house dramas in the name of entertainment without letting them grow in their minds! You can still show entertainment in a sensible and moderate way which has quality and storyplay in a thought provoking manner which makes the audience inturn more matured for the current age. You then slowly get you audience slowly but acccustomed to more sensible shows. Then they only leave watching non sense dramas and ask you to telecast fresh concepts. There you go, you get you business succesful again. It just need sometime to get accustomed to them. If only you act sensibly and cut off old shows with good decent endings without new tracks, leaps and accept more fresh concepts.

I think it is my foolishness to expect money making and TRP hunger channels like SP and Colors to act sensibly. It is like asking Britannia and Parle to act sensibly and stop using refined flour, refined sugar, sodium saturated fat, hydrogenated oils, additives like articifial flavours, colors because they are bad to the health of people or saying people to stop eating junk food too much because they are bad to their own health and to consider how they are manufactured and processed. Either of the two parties obviously show deaf ear to listen. It is business for one and quick treat to the other. Sorry guys for my long rant, iam way too disappointed with the idea of regular show being reason for the quick finishing of a fresh, quality finite show. I hope this article comes false. My silliness. It can only happen in my dream that sensible channels telecast complete sensible yet different shows and generalaudience being sensible in watching.

PS: Also, sorry if there are any YOYO fans there. I get way too furous by his lyrics, music and singing which spoiled 100 yrs of glory in industry which has music as the main and important key thing for indian films. I still enjoy and prefer Mohd. Rafi, Kishore Kumar, SD Burman, RD Burman, Shankar Jaikishen, Nadeem Shravan, Kumar Sanu, Jatin Lalit, Udit Narayan, Sonu Nigam, KK, Shaan, etc. songs over YoYo, Himesh, Mika types that made Hindi Film Industry take a diff. turn. Progress is
necessary...but way too western and foreign non sense with no indian in no responsible way, no thoughtfulness is a big no for me. Except few good shows, movies and songs here and there, mostly it's all way too crap. When will Media(Cinema, TV Medium, Media, Internet Critics & Articles) act responsible and matured knowing it's imp. role in programming and conditioning general people's lives?

PSS: I want Dahleez to take it's own time and run smooth. I don't care whatever show it gets replaced by after it's proper pace and ending. I just don't want any show or the channel be the reason for it's quick ending make it go hurry burry through the episodes which kindaa' make it lose the impact of the effect created by prev. episodes. I felt the same during Ek Haseen Thi finishing when it's going to get replced by Tu Mera Hero, making it lose it's essence during the last tracks after a well moved story. Just bcoz Dahleez is a finite show it mustn't to be taken for granted by the channel to ask it for a quicker ending for it's eagerness for replacing it for it's own TRP hunger. This show is like a breath of fresh air, lotus in mud when TV is ruling by numerous OTT dramas of snakes, ghosts, illogical, just to fill the time shows! Hats off to the team and all the best for their future projects.

@Lakhsmi , yours is a voice of so many in this forum. I agree Dahleez is far better than all those craps been shown. But the matter of fact is every channel is running behinds trp. Now adays even remote villages have got satellite connection. i feel the majority of audience wants meaningless drama each day and shows like dahleez or tamanna is not their cup of tea. We people who like sensible shows are the minority here and may be we will have to fight for reservation here..lol..just kidding. But this is the fact, they need trp and naagin, ghosts, dayans, flies n mosquitoes are getting trp for them.

Dahleez is a show which will remain in our heart for long , hamare pasand ka kuch dekha humne..yahi sochkar khus ho lete hai..or kya..😛 I hope fortune productions a new meaningful show with same star cast and nice script..

Hats off to you for writing this much needed post...I'm sure your words are a reflection of several viewer's thoughts including me...

@Lakshmi let me tell you one thing. i agree to everything you said, but at this point we have to be thankful we got Dahleez, we got EHT. They happened. And these shows represent change in their own way.
Though short, if we see in the last 4-5 years some shows are getting made. The trend will improve with the measurement in the digital realm.
I always say quality of movies improved with satellite rights and multiplex, quality of shows will improve with digital measurement and avenues for monetization in the digital medium.

And we need to know one thing of all the channels only SP and Sony dared to give or still dare to give something of this sort irrespective of failure from TRPs they have not stopped the efforts.

SP gave EHT, SP gave Sumit Sambhal lega, SP gave MB and SKR, SP gave Tamanna and Dahleez. Yes within their limitations they are trying to give something different
Sony too gave reporters, currently Kuch Range Ke and Ek Duje ke vaasthe.

If you look at Colors what is their content. Torture rules. I have never been able to connect with one show in that channel
And Zee mostly extra marital.
So let us not lose hope. We cannot change audience mindset, but we can improve ourselves observing characters like Durga and Swa

Great post Lakshmi, and a much needed one 👏

The story of Dahleez should be told the way the makers intended for it to be told. As long as they are not making a compromise and changing their story line to accommodate the channel's need to finish it at a particular schedule, I am ok with whenever it ends. I am actually thankful that it is a finite series, because otherwise it would become another OTT drama. It has very little scope for that, and that is a very good thing.

Like Shruthi said, Indian Tele has come a long way. I remember seeing promos of shows like Kyonki Ki saas and almost deciding never to get married. Imagine, if that is a representation of your whole life... who wants that? And then, there was this show, I think it was called Sanjeevini. I started watching it thinking it will be a show dedicated to the medical aspects of our society. Well, they fooled me again. Apparently it was another love story that brews in a hospital.

Thinking back, we have come a long way. Dahleez is such a pleasure to watch. It is truly so close to what happens in real life. I am glad that such stories are being made and shown on TV. It will always be remembered as one of the better shows in Indian Tele, and so rated by an intelligent audience 😆. Let us all cherish it

@Sur89, Mehek25, shruthiravi

Thank u for reading & replying. I was really frustrated of it ending too soon. I expected it to stay atleast for quite sometime. I made such a long post venting my feelings out! I feel relieved now after reading ur views.

Yes, change is there for sure. Even after showing such non sense shows, at the end of the day, they atleast have time and space for these quality shows very often. I don't like much of stupid vamp style dance movies, shows or songs today. They have no quality, it's all for money. Quality ones r here and there like Airlift...but then they will be defintiely remembered forever. Will never forget these epic characters Durga, Swa, Dharaa, Meher, etc. and the lessons they taught.

I don't know what to say..iam feeling much irritated by that new ad Kavach in Colors and some stupid Sunny? new song /movie ad. I still find soothing feel in old songs though they seem common. These are utter non sense and have increased alot...but quality ones r increasing too. But y the hell are the money making stupid songs, movies, serials even exist in such quantity?

@shruthiravi...u r right sis...Colors is total headache and torture. Except Udaan to some extent, there is nothing meaningful there. Sony is pure bliss. I say, that is class. Esp. the 2 new shows. Quality is
always it's priority. Loving these shows KRPKAB, EDKV. When will SNS, etc. exit from SP? Though they seems to have a bit nayi soch, they are still money minded. They don't have patience to wait for decent TRP or judge the TRP based on the type of show, it's airing slot and it's target audience.

Coming to movies, but it also lead to indecent movies and songs. Stupid things are making more money. That needs to change. Guess i need to learn to ignore the bad ones.

Will hope content based hows and decent movies become the mainstream by the start of next
millenium.

@Lovely Lakshmi you need to understand one thing. You cannot change anyone else. You can change only yourself. What to watch, what not to watch is our decision. For e.g as a policy I dont watch EK, Rashmi Sharma or Shashi Sumeet shows. They have regressive content. Because if I need to tell someone dont watch I have to practice it. I also dont watch movies which makes mockery of relations though I love relationship dynamics in a good way. iIf you look Airlift is a big hit this year, giving a filip to such movies. Neerja is also a hit. It is all about choice. If you change, you can guide another change that's it.
@priti seriously seeing those torture shows of late nineties even I felt I should not get married. Why should I end up a slave in someone else house 😆😆😆

Firstly, amazing article! What you said is absolute truth. I'm actually surprised that a show like Dahleez, which is actually sensible with a refreshing concept and amazing actors has failed to garner a good response. Its funny how shows like Saathiya which atleadt to me make no sense run for soo long and a show like Dahleez, being sensible and very close to reality is being ended so soon! Sad shit.
