Glad that someone posted this. There was a Youtube Video regarding the Perspective this Society has about women who are careeristic and successful. I dont have the link but it's something to do with Kiran being recommended by Kiran's immediate Boss for promotion in Office, and how the senior management percives that. It was quie apt and in alignment to what Kangana means here šŸ‘

Success and Fame are two different things. People here gives ample examples of women who are successful + famous. But in middle-class or upper-middle-class society, where successful woman means getting 2/3 promotions in office by 30-35 age is also a success and those women are looked down upon in the society in at least 80% case šŸ˜›

Kangana's statements are SO relevant in all aspects of class and mass. This mentality needs to be changed asap 😃

she is not entirely wrong not entirely right. a woman or man, child should carry themselves with dignity grace. koi kuch nahi bolega.

They booze, they smoke, they have wild sex as & when they please I am sure- Yet they aren't labelled "psychopaths, mentally ill, wh**es" or the like, by anyone with half a brain because their basic sense of dignity, ethics & play, never makes them harp on & on about being a WOMAN. Their dignity, their accomplishments are their own, yet their battles are & have been much bigger & much more intense--- Not every "woman" is termed a psychopath, ONLY YOU are, KR. Because your actions & personality clearly compel everyone to term you so.

The day her movies begin flipping, she will be the most hated of them all. BW is an industry that thrives on EQ. Success comes & goes, it's Goodwill that lasts.

@Bold.

Strange coincidence this topic came up today. . Yesterday was historic in the US in the sense that Hillary won the Democratic nomination and for a supposed progressive country it is the first time a woman has been the nominee of a major party for president. This when supposed regressive countries like India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka have had women leaders decades ago let alone UK.

I wish this were true about @Bold (Hillary Clinton) because worse is being said about her today. It is not because it is politics, it is because she is a woman too. A abrasive woman who has made some rather not so nice choices, but people excuse that behavior in men. It makes me sad to see it. In some ways what the headline of this post says is true today and I hope it is not true always.

I should not bring US politics into BS, but whatever. Through this whole election season, Hillary Clinton has been constantly targeted for being a woman. Colin Powell and Condoleezza Rice used private servers as secretary of state. Hillary is the unfortunate target of a stupid mistake because the new standards were created during the Rice/Clinton transition. Moreover, the private server controversy is not one of malice or criminal intent, but a mistake. Then the same conservatives who deem marriage as sacred and expect women to stand by abusive and violent husbands, show a stark double standard by making fun of her for salvaging her marriage. Donald Trump has the audacity of calling her crooked when his business is embroiled in trouble over much shadier deals. Even the almighty, infallible Bernie Sanders called her unqualified when she is by far the most experienced, successful and qualified not just in the presidential pool this year - but out of American politicians in general. I'd like to believe Clinton gets no flak for being a woman. But the sad bitter truth is that if she were a man, all these issues would have been conveniently ignored.
