For some it can be true.

I mean there are so many actresses who were either working as air hostess/ tv channels/ PR companies and got the chance to act easily. Especially TV actors, you have so many MBA graduates, engineers who were chased by such agencies when they needed fresh face. Wasn't Karan Kundra found on Facebook by Ekta's team?

And star kids handwork and trying to get movies etc are all cheesy attempt to make audience believe that they did struggle. Like what struggle did they do? AD's for accomplished directors, studying fashion, film making, acting at foreign universities.

And we have strugglers too who had no choice but to do whatever it takes to make it big. SRK, Vidya, SSR are all graduates but they always wanted to act and they struggled.

Not so sure about India, but a lot of the VS models were discovered at the mall or beach by Storm Media and Modelling. So I mean it can be possible that they were pursuing something else and this just happened by chance. Although, some star came across as such idiots makes me think how would they ever gone on to become doctors/engineers. But maybe it's a PR image.

Yeah I'm sure a lot of them are lying. AB also tells a story of how he was so poor in Mumbai he survived on chanas and slept on benches. Yeah right. Bosom buddies with Nehru's family...

And that "got selected when accompanied friend to audition" story is done to death.
