Why do actors act like they didn't try?

Whenever I read interviews of actresses' and actors' beginning, it's always the same story. They were going to be doctors/engineers/lawyers etc. when they were persuaded by some talent scout to try out for XYZ beauty competition and/or movie. They make it seem like it's that easy and just entertained the idea of becoming stars as it was handed on a silver platter. It's rare to hear stories about people actually trying, and failing miserably until a lucky break/compromise? They make it seem like they were so talented/beautiful that they were seeked out and they reluctantly went with it. Why is it that it's a shame to admit your desires? Why make it seem like they had so much academic merit and the world of glamour was just "accidental". Is it a shame to admit that they went after it vigorously? This is the same story with small tv star. They sing the same story of how they were "discovered" one fine day. Almost everyone from small star to big claim they were brilliant students.

Don't they all narrate stories as to how hard it was for them to reach wherever they are? Everybody keeps higlighting their humble backgrounds and how they had to struggle and got nothing on silver plate. Even some statr kids say all these things. They forecefully feed the stories of their 'struggling AD days' lol. Some actors might be an exception though, who might say that they got it all easy. In general, all of us do try to underplay the luck factor and like to emphasise on the struggle part when we achieve something.

I find it especially funny when TV actresses say that they never planned on being actresses, their "friend" was going to the audition and dragged them with them and they somehow got selected. Heard that story a million times with a few variations. 🤪

I know or "a friend recommended me to the casting director" or "it happened by chance" all these cheesy stories 😆

well, ranveer always wanted to be an actor and he has admitted it all the time...😊

I heard PC saying something similar in her interview with Farhan. She mentioned that she wanted to become an Engineer but became a model 😆

What else are they supposed to say? We slept with so and so to reach where we are? Or that our parents thrust us into the arms of whoever had the tiniest potential of making us famous?
