Chapter 2

Raman was searching something in his room, he was finding it everywhere, he murmured - Why did maa always shift my stuffs elsewhere? Never find the things on its right place. He was searching in his wardrobe when a box fall on floor with his touch, he looked at the box where he found some of his photo with Shagun, he took it in his hand and take a sit to the nearby chair, he caressed the photo. Raman recalled some of their past moments, his eyes were teary, he caressed the photo when a tear rolled down from his eyes, he quickly wiped them before any one sees and tore the photo into pieces. Toshiji was standing at the door looking at his son, she walked to him and placed her hand on his shoulder,

Toshiji - Raman?

Raman quickly cleared his eyes and composed himself saying - Arey ma? When did u come? I was just.. This all are unwanted papers. He threw the pieces aside.

Toshiji - Raman? I understand your pain. I am your mother. You can't hide your pain from me.

Raman couldn't control himself and hugged his mother tightly and broke down into tears.

Toshiji - Raman.. Puttar.. Kyu beetein baaton ko yaad karke khudko takleef deta hai. I know whatever happened with you was wrong. But now we have to move on. Kab tak apne past ko lekar chalega? Kabhi to aage badhna hoga.

Raman wiped his tears and nodded saying - Yes ma. You are right. Woh mere kismat mein nahi thi aur yehi haqiqat hai. I have to accept it. Par ma mein kya karun?? Kitna bhi koshish karun usko bhool nahi pa raha hoon.

Toshiji - Raman you have to move on. Tere papa kuch kehte nahi par mujhe pata hai.. Tujhe aise pal pal tadaapte dekhte sabse zyada takleef unhe hota hai. At least think about your father. (Your father doesn't say us anything but I know... He is getting hurt much, seeing you getting hurt in every moment.)

Raman nodded. Toshiji placed a kiss on his forehead lovingly saying - Raman, can I say you something? your papa and I decided something.

Raman - I know ma what you both decided and this time I will not stop you. Ek baar pyar karke dekh liya, dobara yeh pyar nahi hoga mujhse but I even can't break your heart. So, I will marry the girl which you both will select for me.

Toshiji looked at him amazed as she never thought he would agree so easily. She said - Are you sure? Raman nodded.

Toshiji - Your father selected a girl for you. She is Mr Iyers daughter Ishita, very nice girl. Here is her photo. She handed him her photo, but Raman didn't give single look on it.

Raman - Ma I told you no, I don't need to see anyone. I know you will select good one for me. Saying this Raman keep the photo on bed and left from there.

Ishita was crying vigorously while pleading her father to let her go to Subhhu but Mr Iyer took her home and pushed Ishita inside the room saying - Don't you dare to run away next time? Phir mujhse bura koi nahi hoga.

Ishita cried - I love him appa. Please don't do this to me.

Appa - I am doing right Ishu. Today you are thinking I am doing wrong with you but one day you will realize my decision is right. That Subbu never worth to your love, that cheap class boy. You will marry only there, where I will fix. And I fixed your marriage.

Ishita - Appa no please..

But mr iyer didn't listen to her, he snatched the phone from her saying - Ab iss ghar se tum bahar doli mein hi jaogi. Saying this he barged out from room and locked the room. Ishita went near to the door crawling.

Ishita - Appa please don't do this to me. I love him appa. I love him. She begged to him but he didn't listen to her. Ishita slept on the floor crying.

Next morning, as usual Raman woke up late and after having his breakfast, he was going to leave for his office when Toshiji stopped him saying - Raman..!! Today come early.. Today we are going to fix your marriage date with Mr Iyer.

Raman - Ma..!! You know I have shows in the evening and its next to possible for me to attend you so please you both go and do whatever you want..!! I am okay with everything.

Toshiji - But puttar..!!

Raman held her by her shoulder and make a cute face saying - Please ma..!!

Toshiji smiled saying - Okay..!! But if you can please attend us. Raman nodded and left for his office.

Raman entered in office when everyone gets alert seeing him as last day his mood wasn't good and who knows.. Today also his temperature is at high. Everyone gave him different looks, Raman silently went to canteen where his friends usually gathered.

Seeing him coming Nidhi asked - Raman.. You fine?

Raman chuckled - Mujhe Kya hoga? Saying this he snatched the chips packet from Abhi's hand and was going to take a piece when Nidhi said - No last night the way you shouted on everyone.. So we thought..

Raman once stared at everyone and said - I am sorry guys..!! My mood wasn't good.

Abhi - It's okay dude..!! He patted on his shoulder and said - Chalo..!! You guys carry on, my show time arrived. I have to go now. See you later.

Soon others took leave one by one, Nidhi and Raman sat there, Nidhi was continuously staring at him which Raman noticed.

Raman - What? Am I looking like Tajmahal.. Why are you keep staring at me yaar?

Nidhi - You tell me what's wrong with you?

Raman - What has happened with me?

Nidhi - Raman you very well know, I can read your mind, so please come straight to the point.

While playing with the coffee mug, he replied - Ma papa are going to fix my marriage.

Nidhi - What? Really? I mean finally..!! She sat back relaxed.

Raman - Yaar..!! You are excited about it and yaha meri band baj rahi hai..

Nidhi - Why? What happened?

Raman - She is south Indian girl. He said completely non interested.

Nidhi - Oho..!! Whisky with coconut water.. Hmm..!! Nice combination. She winked at him teasingly when Raman throw some papers at her.

Raman - You are teasing me..!! Jab khud ke upar betegi toh samjhegi..!! I mean if they accept it then after marriage my day will start with idli dhosa and will end with the same. Thinking this Raman sat holding his head. (When it comes on you then you will understand..)

Nidhi - Is it the only problem Raman? I mean.. If it is so on which you are worrying about then don't worry its not going to be like this. See..!! Intercast marriage isn't a bad idea. Just go with the flow but.. But if it is not so then Raman.. Now please don't waste your precious times, you should move on yaar. Woh wapas toh nahi ayegi. She is happy in her life, everyone is settled in their lives except you. So now its your turn to move on.

Raman looked at her for some time and smiled slightly, then to divert the mind he said - Kya batein lekar baith gayi..!! Let's go..!! Did you forget we have a meeting with the head office. Lets go..!! Saying this Raman left. (What things did you sit with..)

Nidhi (st) - I know Raman..!! You have much pain inside you but you will see, someone will definitely heal your every pain by her love.

Ishita was sitting in her room alone, she had no other option instead, her appa took away her phone and other stuffs through which she can contact with Subhhu.

Ishita prayed - Aiyyo murugan..!! Please do some miracles. Please..!! Just then she heard the door is opening, she composed herself and saw her appa walked in.

Mr Iyer - Get ready nicely. Bhalla's are coming to fix the marriage date.

Ishita didn't answer him, she turned her face another side when he said - If it's your new trick then keep it in your mind, I will never let you succeed in your plans and I will not change my mind, so it will be better if you listen to your appa. He left from there, Ishita broke down into tears.

Ishita - How to make you understand appa..!! I love him. But no..!! I have to do something. I can't marry, I will tell the guy everything, I hope he will understand. Saying this she wiped her tears, getting a ray of hope.

Raman was sitting idle when one of his colleague came and said - Raman..!! Did you hear today your show isn't coming on air.

Raman looked at him shocked - What? Who told you?

Amar - Arey boss told this. Don't you know?

Without wasting time, he ran away and barged inside boss's cabin.

Raman - Mr Sharma what is this? He looked up at Raman and flicked his eyes.

Raman - My show isn't coming on air?

Mr Sharma - Yes RKB..!! The head department decided this. As your show is getting more response than others so its affecting the channel so they decided to do some changes in schedule. From now your show will come on the weekend only.

Raman angrily said - What the hell.. Mr Sharma..!! Just because my show is getting much popularity, you are changing its schedule only.

Mr Sharma - It's board's decision. I can't do anything. For your show's popularity, we aren't getting the response in other shows. Raman angrily stomped his feet and walked out from the cabin.

Raman was sitting in the canteen, he was sad, Nidhi came to him and said - Let it be Raman..!! I am sure, something good is on its way. So relax..!! And dekh na ek taraf se achha hua, you will get time to attend your parents today.

Hearing this Raman looked at her, oh yes..!! It was slipped from his mind, but he doesn't want to go there. He only shook his head and thought what to do to avoid this.

Ishita was pacing in her room tensed. She murmured - What to do..!! How will I break this alliance.. When suddenly something struck her mind and she smirked.

Raman was packing his stuffs lazily as he had no show tonight and he had no interest to visit that girl's place, so he intentionally working lazily when Vikram (one of his colleague) came to him.

Vikram - Raman will you do a favour for me?

Raman - Yeah..!! Say.

Vikram - Actually my mother is hospitalised, and I need to go home early so will you attend my shift please. If its okay with you then?

Hearing this Raman didn't think once, he hugged him happily saying - Of course, of course..!! You don't worry, you go home, I will attend your shift.

Vikram - Thank you yaar.

Raman - No. No. I should say you thank you, tuney mera kam asan kar dia. He again hugged him.

Raman (st) - Thank you God for helping me, you are too good. And he saluted.

Mr Iyer welcome Mr and Mrs Bhalla happily. They were talking about business and other things when Mr Iyer asked hesitantly - Ugh..!! Your son??

Toshiji - You know this RJ's.. They have shifts every now and then. He might be arriving anytime. Where's your daughter?

Mr iyer looked at a servant and signaled her to call Ishita, she shook her head and left. After a while later Ishita climbed down making everyone shocked.

Mr Iyer yelled - Ishita?? What's all this? Why did you dress like this?

Ishita was standing there with an attitude, she wore a western dress, Mr and Mrs Bhalla looked at her confused for a while then Toshiji said - Please Mr iyer don't shout at her. Saying this she approached to Ishita.

Ishita (st) - No one ever want to make a modern girl as their DIL, this alliance isn't going to happen.

Toshiji held her hand and took her near to the sofa and made her sit saying - Have a sit here.

Ishita looked at her confuse when she continued - You are looking good in this dress. Mr Iyer please don't scold her. We know now girls like fashion, I am glad that my would be DIL has good fashion sense. And puttar.. Hum punjabi's hatke cheez pasand karte hai, if I could I would wear this dresses but you know my figure doesn't allow me..!! Ishita looked at her amazed as how can anyone be so friendly, she mentally cursed herself for this stupid idea.

Toshiji - We like her, and now we are eager to make her our DIL.

Ishita looked at her shocked.

Other side Raman was attending the show when his phone beeped, she checked the message during a song and got a shock as Mr Bhalla messaged him that they fixed the marriage date after three days.
