Vidya lounged on her chair as she thought about what she could write for her upcoming monthly feature. She wanted it to stand out, something that wasn't usual. As she loosely flipped through the pages of requests by some ardent readers, her eyes fell upon one of the headlines- 'Life after Marriage'. This was it! She had always come across the 'they lived happily ever after' ending in fairytales. But what if she could actually show what the 'Ever After' was. Heart pounding, she racked her mind to search for someone suitable and then it struck her. Zaroon and Kashaf. Their love story had been one of a kind after all and who better than them to share how their ever after has been...

*1 week later*
As she nibbled on her pen, Vidya waited impatiently for the first glimpse of her favourite couple. Just then, she heard oncoming footsteps and Zaroon Junaid and Kashaf Murtaza came to view. Heart pounding, she looked at them as they sauntered in, laughing. Pasting a bright smile on her face and hoping that her voice doesn't tremble, she introduced herself and shook hands.
Vidya- 'Hey Zaroon and Kashaf,I'm Vidya. Thank you for giving this interview for our magazine.'
Zaroon- 'Hey sweetheart. I never say no to pretty girls like you.' *winks*
Kashaf- 'Zaroon, ab bas bhi kar. Don't mind Vidya, he is just being himself that's it!' *grins*
Vidya- *grins back* 'So tell me about yourselves. How has life been after marriage ? Any major changes ?'
Kashaf- 'My babysitting time has just increased, haina Zaroon ? 😆'
Zaroon-' Not fair Mrs Junaid, do I not help you in everything from household work to managing our kids ?' *pouts*
Kashaf- 'Of course you do, I meant the kids though😛. Jokes apart Vidya, our life has been pretty much the same though my outlook on life has changed. I feel that whatever happens, happens for the best. I try to have a positive outlook on any challenges I have to face and Zaroon has been my rock throughout.'
Vidya- 'Aww! You guys are adorable.' She stares at them with moony eyes but suddenly realizes that they were waiting for her to continue the interview. 'So, Zaroon, how has marriage changed your perspective ?'
Zaroon- 'I feel that life is complete now with my Kashaf by my side. As cliched as it sounds, I always used to feel that void in my life, of something missing but marriage has brought that sense of contentment and the feeling that I can do anything with her beside me.'
Kashaf- 'Oh Zaroon, itna bhi cheesy mat bano.' *laughs*
Zaroon- 'Cheesy ? Hadh hai yaar. Here, I am sharing my dil ki baat with you and you find it cheesy. Ye kya hai bhai ? Kuch boloon tho cheesy, na boloon tho khadoos, tum auratein bhi na' *shakes his head*
Kashaf- 'See Vidya, Mr drama queen is back😆 ' 'Zaroon, I was just pulling your leg, you know I luuurv you na ?' *winks* and Vidya watches Zaroon softening and hugging Kashaf.
Vidya *laughing*- 'You two are just the same.Wohi wali nok jhok and the love you two share is so evident.'
Zaroon- 'Thank you Vidya. We feel that the secret to a happy marriage is to share those small joys and moments with your better half. ' *glances at Kashaf affectionately*
Vidya- 'That is a great piece of advice Zaroon. Thank you for sharing this with our readers.' *Turns to Kashaf*- Kashaf, how has the romance factor changed after marriage ? Does Zaroon keep surprising you ? Your fans would love to know this *laughs*
Kashaf- 'Zaroon is the romantic one actually. For me personally, grand declarations of love don't matter, it is the small things that count. A rose, a card, cooking for me and things like that. Zaroon has done all this and more and he knows this but I would still like to say for the record that I appreciate and love him even more for being such a loving partner and husband.'
Zaroon- 'Aww baby, I love you too.' 'Vidya, this is another important thing. Communication. Always tell your partner, how much they mean to you. If not through words, through gestures. Actions speak louder than words after all.' Another important thing is that I feel that work and personal life should be balanced.
Kashaf *mischievously*- 'Practice what you preach Zaroon, tumhi ne tho kisi kaam ki wajah se mere janamdin ko pichle baar bhulaya tha na ?'
Zaroon *morosely*- 'And I still feel so guilty about that *shakes head* It shouldn't have happened.'
Kashaf- 'Arey baba, I was just joking. Itna dil pe mat lo'. *They hug*
Vidya *murmurs to herself*- 'I understand as today happens to be a working Birthday for me as well.' She clears her throat, remembering where she is. 'So with that, we conclude our segment. Thank you so much you two. It was a pleasure interviewing you both.'
As she prepares to leave, she hears her name being called out.
Zaroon- 'Vidya, wait up. We have a small surprise for you! A little birdie told us that it's your birthday today *winks* and we wanted to do something about it. It isn't all that much but would you like to have a selfie taken with us ?'
Vidya- 'OMG YES! Thank you Zaroon, this means a lot to me!' She hugs them both and takes a selfie with her favourite couple to mark the end of her working birthday.
