"Nahi, aap ko khana hi hoga yeh."
"Arrey beta, main tumhaari har ek baat sunti hu. Ab ek din toh chhuti de do mujhe? Aaj paranthe khaane ka bahot mann hai," Ishwari requested, but receiving only a stern no in response. She began eating the salad angrily, clearly not happy with how she had no control over what she eats. But then at that moment, Keechu bhaiyya came out with a plate of hot paranthas and placed it in front of Ishwari, taking away the salad from her.
"Yeh kya Keechu bhaiyya? Maa yeh nahi khaa sakti. Unki sehat ke liye accha nahi hai!"
Keechu bhaiyya was about to take the plate back, but another hand came and placed the plate back firmly.
"Keechu bhaiyya aap jaiyye." Ishwari stared at the two in front of her. "Ab rehne do naa tum dono," she proceeded to calm them down, but the glare she received from both was enough to scare her from speaking another word.
"Yeh jaante hue ki this is not good for her health, you are still telling me to let her eat these paranthes?"
"Haan toh?"
"Unki sehat ki thodi bhi parvah nahi hai kya?"
She rolled her eyes.
"Kitne mahino se unhone tumhaare orders follow kiye hai. Ab toh thoda enjoy karne do. Maa, aap khaao!" the two voices were only getting louder. "Dr. Bose!" "Mr. Dixit!"
"Arrey tum dono ladna band karo. Mujhe khaana hi nahi hai."
Ishwari stood up from her chair, "Maa!!!!" the two yelled out in unison.
"Hey bhagwaan. Ab main karu toh kya karu?"
While Radha Rani muttered to herself at this daily loving-family "nonsense," Keechu bhaiyya smiled at the sight from the kitchen.
"Mr. Dixit, main abhi bhi inki nutritionist hu. Don't you think I know exactly what I'm doing!?"
"Dr. Bose, aap theek toh ho? How is feeding her paranthes good for her health?" he fumed.
"Mr. Dixit, accha hoga agar aap mere kaam ke mamle mein interfere naa kare!" she glared back with equal fervour.
The two stormed off in opposite directions with Sona heading into the kitchen. As she came out, she brought out a new batch of hot paranthas, this time topped with a good amount of butter as well.
"Aap ke diet ka cheat," she winked at her mother-in-law. "Aur Dev?" Ishwari whispered, to which Sona just smiled. "Aap uski tension mat lo. Main manage kar lungi."
Sona hugged her from behind and grabbed her keys, heading out. "Mr. Dixit, wait up!" she yelled as he was about to leave.
"Don't be so stubborn now!"
"Dr. Bose you know her health has just recently improved. We need to be careful!"
"Mr. Dixit, main hoon na," she smiled as she fixed his tie. He looked away, but couldn't stop a smile from escaping. "Sonaa," he shook his head. "Deeev," she imitated him.
Pecking his lips, she gave him the food she had made for his lunch. "Enjoy your lunch!" she winked, making Dev a little uneasy. Opening the container, he sighed. Yeh nutritionist bhi na, he smiled to himself as he put his salad back and headed out the door.
