Be upbeat about life, says Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar is well known for his comic timing. According to him though, besides laughter, one thing essential for a happy life is a positive outlook. On his recent visit to the capital for the promotion of his upcoming film Housefull 3, he spoke about his fitness mantra, films and how positivity keeps him going.

According to Khiladi Kumar, films are made to entertain and break the monotony of life. In no way can they help the audience find a happily ever after' life. "Films do not help in taking away your worries and problems. They just act as a breather in the middle of your daily schedule. It is impossible to watch a two-and-a-half hour film and come out with the perfect recipe to leading a happy life. To live happily, one must be positive and upbeat about life and also have an understanding of how to tackle one's worries better," shares the actor who was last seen in the film Airlift opposite Nimrat Kaur.

Akshay, who is also known for his fitness in the industry, says of his fitness mantra, "The most important thing is positive thinking. It is important for your aura and there are a few things that I always follow " like eating before 6:30 or 7 pm and working out for one hour everyday. That is how I keep myself young too."

Recently seen portraying serious roles in Airlift and Baby, Akshay is quite thrilled to entertain the audience with the third installment of the Housefull series now. The actor, who has previously given rib-tickling performances in comedy movies like Hera Pheri, Khatta Meetha and Singh Is King, says, "Housefull 3 is a situational comedy. I haven't done such a film in a while and felt this was necessary for me to do because there is an audience for these kinds of films as well, who want to laugh."

The actor's wife, Twinkle Khanna, is known for speaking her mind and being adept at witty repartees. What was her reaction to the movie's promos? "She wished me good luck after she watched the trailer," he says simply.

Asked about the funniest dialogue in the film, given that it is a comedy, Akshay says, "There are many scenes which are extremely funny. In the film, the three of us (Akshay, Abhishek Bachchan and Riteish Deshmukh) disguise ourselves as mute, blind and physically challenged people to enter our girlfriends' house. There is a dialogue by Boman Irani, who plays the father of the three girls (Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri and Lisa Haydon), in that scene where he says, Humaare ghar pe meri betiyaan ye kaise ladke le aayi hain " ek jiska talktime kharaab hai, ek ka iPhone kharaab hai aur ek ka toh balance hi nahi hai!'"

There are many funny lines by the ladies too in the film, Akshay reveals and adds, "They have interesting characteristics wherein they literally translate English to Hindi like hum bachhe nahi banaa rahe hain' for we are not kidding, and saand ki aankh maarna' for hitting the bull's eye!"
