Jaise Maa, Waise Beti!

Like mother, like daughter.
Pragya did not want to tell the truth about Maa's kidnapping to Abhi or take that matter further to police. I am not arguing she does not care about her Maa (that's a different issue). But her priority was to expose Tannu in front of Abhi. She was least interested in exposing Tannu to police for hurting Maa, which she could have done bypassing Abhi.

Because if Tannu goes to jail, although Abhi can't live with her, Pragya can't expose her baby truth to Abhi.

The point is, it is important for her to win this game she has against Tannu and win Abhi.

Same was true for the mother.

Today she was ready to go to jail, taking a blame. The sole reason was Pragya should not go to jail and after that Tannu may marry Abhi. This way Pragya will lose her Kumkum.

And "boss" Pragya was hardly able to shut Tannu up.

There is hardly any concern about actually telling the truth to Abhi. The concern is more that Pragya should prove to Abhi that she saved him from Tannu!

Are they selfish? In some way yes! They want Pragya's Kumkum at any cost.

Are they selfless? In some way, yes too. They don't really worry about what happens to their respect, their own life etc.

Are they foolish? Absolutely. This is not the way to fight this battle, which they don't even need to fight. There are so many other ways to tell truth, there are so many easier solutions.

Are they insecure? Of course. It's their insecurity that makes them behave this may perhaps. May be because they didn't have a man in their family, may be because of their social beliefs.. may be it's their nature.

It's painful to see preggy Tannu being a monster, but it's more painful to see these women behaving helpless and insecure.

They gotta let Abhi know the truth and let him do what he wants. If he belongs to Pragya, he will be back on his own. If not, let him fly wherever he wants!

PS: Just compared Maa and Beti.. but Abhi's Daadi equally fits in here too.

More than middle class values like dadi keeps saying, I feel Sarla ma and Pragya keep doing things for each other out of love and sacrifice. Maybe having gone through a tough life, Pragya sacrifices herself to make her mother happy. And now ma is trying to sacrifice herself for her daughter. And her daughter's kumkum sake.

Dadi? She said Sarla ma doesn't have to take on the blame. But she didn't tell Abhi the truth even now either. At least ma was thinking about her daughter's life and marriage. Dadi wasn't worried Pragya can go to jail or her pota may marry Tanu if Pragya leaves.

Daadi is a lot more bent on uniting AbhiGya in their marriage and posing Pragya as the Savitri, the righteous Kumkum bearer for Abhi than saving her grandson from emotional trauma or confusion, let alone a deceit.
Daadi is strictly against modern/liberal values and she has time and again imposed them on Aaliyah or Abhi. Abhi does not listen to her in everything but certain home affairs, he gets tied up with.

No wonder Daadi found Pragya, with a very similar set of values.

I don't know if these are really the middle class values. Yes, marriages/divorces are a big deal but in today's society, especially in a metro like Mumbai, I don't think it's such a big deal.. definitely not beyond people getting killed, going to jail and a person lied to for months and months.

I really don't understand the need to bend so much to prove Tanu's baby is not Abhi's. Since she is sure that it is not Abhi's she can get DNA test once again in 2 or 3 hospitals and put them in front of Abhi.
Whenever she talks to Tanu about this and Tanu challenges her, why can't she record their conversation and play it for Abhi?
And who keeps the door open when a couple is sleeping in their room (even if they are not on good terms)?
When she had suspected Tanu about her mother's health, why couldn't she installed CCTV camera's in her mother's room?
More than anything else, which fool will keep one crore rupees in their house? was it a black money that they could not keep it in Bank?

Anisha, yesterday's epi mind voice of Sarla Maa suggested she thinks Tannu will marry Abhi if Pragya goes to jail. They are assuming only Pragya can/should "prove" the baby truth to Abhi none of the others are not allowed to!

I can't believe they haven't done one right thing in exposing Tannu. I can't even count home many but they have failed at least 10 plots! More disbelief is that Tannu knows about them knowing it all, yet rules.😕

Money, lol... yeah such a foolish decision sleep opening the door and to keep it in the house (apparently it was too late to put it in bank?) when everyone had seen it fall off of the suitcase.😆

Haha! No offense to the symbol, but it is misused in the soaps.
