It is not about age - it is more about perception. He had been playing an older guy for a few years now in BV, so people forget his real age.
Shashank has mostly played the role of young Jagya in BV After 11 years leap he had played the elder Jagya for 5 months only but of course he was way too young for the role so looked too young as well even though his acting was excellent but he looked young Playing father's role of teenage kids is too early for him He himself left the serial to try out more roles of his age and that he thought playing fathers is way too early in his career He had played one character for 5 years he wanted to do something more now . The character was further played by Shakti Anand till the character's final appearance in the serial The only reason BV viewers even after loving Shashank to the core as Jagya accepted Shakti as Jagya because SA was around the same as Jagya on screen in his real life so he fitted well in the character's age on screen then
I am sorry but i still did not get how people perceived Shashank to be much older if they have watched BV ?When he had put on grey wig and they made wrinkles on his face with makeup ? i cannot post pictures of that show on this forum because it is against rules but anyone seeing him there can see the guy is very young In this serial its Shashank going to enter in new a role not Jagya so how Jagya's age is mixed with his ?The serials are fantasies and take time leaps The character's age on screen but the actors don't age with them Jagya may have aged on screen but Shashank did not age that much with Jagya
Honestly calling a guy as young as Shashank too old was too much hilarious
