Why Sonam taking all the credit for Neerja?

People saying she carried the film. She was good but not good as Jim Sarbh the terrorist.

The anger, mood swings, brutality. I was intrigued to know more about this character.

The scene where he was so angry he grabbed the kettle and started slamming it against the wall.

Even the end where he gets shot is intense.

Without him the film would not have been as suspenseful and intense as it was.

Sonam was good but not as good as Jim Sarbh. He should do more films.

Stop spreading false rumors. Sonam has said plenty of times that the success wasn't hers only.

Did they? I am yet to see a comment which says she carried the movie.
But i have seen people saying Deepika carried Piku 😆

Shabana & Jim Sarbh were super! Sarbh should definitely do more movies & I hope after this movie, he does more such movies- Meaningful, where he has a good fleshed out role. He was terrifying as the terrorist!!


Sonam was good, no denial there, but her praise was highlighted more because she has often been extremely ridiculed & criticised because she was God-awful as an actress, and ESP b/C of her dialogue delivery which was terrible.


People have already begun saying how she will win the awards next year so there is a lot of support for her but indefinitely don't feel she was good enough to win a Best Actress award.

Sarbh is a theatre actor who is clearly very very talented. Sonam is a limited actress whatever her fans might like to think/say. On top of which, she's a bad dancer despite being classically trained & has an extremely annoying whiny-little girl voice which she has no idea how to modulate.


Sarbh is full of creativity & does theatre, makes his own videos, organises art events etc & works with the likes of Kalki... There is absolutely no comparison & is unfair to both parties.

Frankly I found Jim Sarbh to be overrated as compared to Sonam. People have really praised him to the skies here😆

As an anti-Sonam person, all I can say is that she NEVER passed any such comments in the media. This is a false piece of news!

I guess you are not a Sonam fan and do not watch many of her interviews. But every time she has been asked about the film's success she has always been very humble and said that the credit mostly goes to the story and the director.

Its been months since Neerja released. I dont know why people are suddenly opening so many topics on it all of a sudden..

And @gatheringstorm, I kind of agree with you... I loved Jim a lot, but this forum has a horrible tendency of overhyping performances of other people, just to make the much-disliked lead star look bad..

This reminds me of Ek Villain times when people praised Riteish's average (and sometimes annoying) performance to the skies.. I am not saying their praises werent completely genuine.. But for most of the part it felt like they were doing it to bring down Sid🤔

Wen her movies failed everyone blamed Sonam without looking into other aspect and now wen Neerja succeed why can't she walk with compliments?
