[Following is From Tripti Update. Just to make Punarjanam conitunue..!]
Raghunathrao is an authoritative hitlerish father.
He thinks he's very disciplined, but in reality, he's this dominating man of the household who just desires his wish to be the rule of the family.
Mahadev is an intelligent and down to earth, well-meaning and kind hearted yet headstrong principled boy who has always been challenging his father's rule and so always ending up being in bad books of his father.
Deenu, who is a small boy still is troubled seeing his elder brother getting all the unnecessary flack.. is always wanting these two to make amends and make peace.
Raghunathrao and Mahadev have never agreed on anything much. The senior Shastri, (Raghunathrao) has been a landlord. And a moneylender for all the poor farmers around the region and many villages too. So there is a collection agent who's working for him, who is none other than the very cunning Balakrishna who's his son-in-law. (Bhaagirathi).
This Balakrishna is a leech. Who's sucking out the wealth of his father-in-law, while properly ill-treating the father-in-law's daughter (his slightly disabled wife-Bhaagirathi) and also hating the guts of Mahadev. He doesn't let go of even one single chance to pull him down in front of anyone and makes it very obvious that he detests him so.
Mahadev is very angry as his father once again questions silly small things like why he came late into the house or why did he have to exercise in the fields when there is an AakhaaDaa right behind the house made just for that purpose… or why does he have to grow his hair so long.. [does he want to join some naaTak company?].. to which Mahadev's prompt and smart ass reply is "Ithe garaatach itki naaTaka chaalaleli asataanaa baaher jaaychi garajach kaay paDaavi koNaalaa?" [This guy gets all my votes!]
He's angry and also ends up upsetting Paarvati [his wife, whom he loves so much] because he doesn't know what else to do and walks out.
When the household is in such a mess .. how will the outsiders sit easy??
Sopaan's busy prying and spying when he's not making out at nights with Indu.. just like Baalakrishna too is busy womanizing and getting drunk and yet again womanizing a little more.. [heh heh! Really sad!]
So this time when Raghunathrao was away with the British Govt people, who've come into their village for building some bridge, Balakrishna makes it a point to make merry and bitch about Mahadev by telling Raghunathrao that Mahadev discounted some farmer of all the loan. Raghunathrao is furious.. and leaves him seething in fury.. since Mahaadev has already walked out again on him.
Deenu, poor thing, says his teraachaa paaDhaa with a condition that if he gets it right, would his angry father make peace with his brother whom he loves so much..
