Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut has once again voiced her concerns on social media, this time targeting AI-generated edits of her photographs. Known for speaking her mind on various issues, Kangana took to her Instagram stories to address a trend where images of her are digitally altered without her consent. The actress expressed frustration over AI tools being used to modify her pictures, particularly those where she is wearing sarees.
Kangana shared specific examples of her photographs, originally taken at the Parliament, that had been edited into outfits like suits. She addressed the matter directly, writing: 'Originally these are my pictures from the parliament in saris. Stop using Al on my pictures. This is violating beyond words, everyday I wake up to see myself in various Al clothes, various make ups even in edited photos, people should stop dressing up others!! Please stop with these Al edits and let me choose/decide how I want to look and what l want to wear when is entirely my prerogative.'
The actress’s post comes amid growing concerns in the entertainment industry about the use of artificial intelligence in editing and altering images of celebrities. AI-generated content has gained popularity online, but it has also raised questions about consent and personal boundaries. By sharing her experiences, Kangana is highlighting the need for respecting individuals’ choices when it comes to their image and presentation.

This is not the first time Kangana has used social media to assert her personal boundaries. Over the years, she has often commented on issues related to image rights, creative representation, and personal autonomy in the public eye. Her latest post adds to the ongoing discussion about how AI technology intersects with privacy, consent, and the ethical responsibilities of those using such tools.
Kangana’s message is clear: public figures, regardless of their fame, have the right to control how they are portrayed. Her stance also reflects broader concerns in the digital age, where altered images can circulate widely without the subject’s approval. As discussions around AI ethics continue, Kangana’s post serves as a reminder that personal agency over one’s own image remains paramount.
