The whole way, they didn't speak a word. Kali stole Yug's glances, but he was focusing on the road. She wanted him to look at her, so came up with her idea. She covered the gear with her saree pallu and looked outside. Yug changed the gear and Kali squealed in fear. He looked at her and then the gear. He removed the pallu and gave her a firm stare, but her soft dear like eyes turned his anger into nothing but softness. He remembered that he had once done the same thing. He then noticed the kaala teeka on her forhead.

Yug- Ab duniya ko bataogi kya, ki tum kisika Kaala Teeka ho?

Kali- Yeh Kaala teeka bhi jald hi mith jaayega Yug...

She looked out of the window and he looked at her. She was lost looking outside and he was lost in her innocence. Suddenly, the car stopped. Kali looked at him and said.

Kali- aapki drama queen nahi sudhregi...

Yug- (annoyed)Don't you dare say anything to my car...

Kali- (teasing)Toh kya iski aarti utaare?

Yug- Tumhe meri car se kya problem hai?

Kali- Mujhe problem nahi hai, aapki car hi sabse badi problem hai...

Yug- You...

He stopped and looked at her. They remembered their nok-jhok because of the car previously and smiled.

Yug- Main dekhta hoon...

Kali- (sarcastically)Haan, aap toh mechanic hai naa?

Yug knew she was doing this on purpose. Kali had an incorrigible habit of annoying him and forcing him to do things her way.

Yug-(giving up) Fine, mechanic ko le aata hoon... Kahin mat jaana, yahin ruko, Samjhi?

Kali smiled at his concern and nodded. He left. Yug searched almost everywhere, but no mechanic or even a car was in sight. Not knowing what to do, he decided to go back to Kali.

He was some distance room the car, when he noticed men standing near the car and one man was holding Kali's hand. Kali was begging to him, but he snatched her mangalsutra. This angered her and she slapped him. He pushed her and she fell on the ground.

This was enough for Yug. His anger was now limitless. He ran and pulled the man who was nearing Kali holding his collar and punched him in stomach. Then he hit him black and blue.

The other two thugs were shocked to see their accomplice beaten up. They ran away. The guy Yug was beating punched Yug on his stomach. Yug fell on the ground. The weak Kali, who had almost fainted because her head hit a stone, saw this and pushed him away from Yug.

Kali-(angrily) Agar mere pati ko haath bhi lagaya, toh maar daalungi tumhe...

She slapped him again and pushed him on the ground. Yug looked at her in shock. Her words repeated in his mind, like an echo, "Agar mere pati ko haath bhi lagaya, toh maar daalungi tumhe..." "Agar mere pati ko haath bhi lagaya, toh maar daalungi tumhe..." "Agar mere pati ko haath bhi lagaya, toh maar daalungi tumhe..."

She turned to look at him, but having not eaten since morning and losing blood made her weak. She lost consciousness and was about to fall, but Yug held her waist and pulled her closer to him, but she wasn't conscious to stand on her feet. He picked her in his arms and helped her lie on the back seat of the car.

He was scared, hell scared. He searched fanatically for a bottle and when he found it, he hurriedly unscrewed the cap and sprinkled some water on her face. She opened her eyes and looked at him weakly. There was no food in the car to offer her, but only water. He gave her the bottle and she drank some water. She looked a little better.

Yug-(worried) Lagta hai car mein rukna padega...

Kali- Nahi Yug, hume lift dhundani chahiye...It can be risky to stay here...

Yug-(concerned) Par tum weak ho abhi...

Kali- (trying to explain) Hume adaat hai bhooka rehne ki, I'll be fine...sacch mein...

Yug sighed and helped her stand. They had walked a little distance speaking nothing, when it started raining, Yug was worried that Kali might catch cold, but to his surprise, she was smiling.

Kali- (smiling) Baarish...

She ran a little away collected some water drops in her hand, and smiled as they fell back to the ground for her hand. She twirled, enjoying the tiny drops on her body, while Yug called out to her, but she ignored him. He went to her and held her wrist and turned her, forcing her to look at him. This was it, now Yug was speechless. She looked beautiful with water drops on her face and that smile of hers was beautiful. A few water drops were on her lips, made him lost in her beauty. He snaked his arms around her waist, oblivious of the fact that he was too getting wet. Kali held his shoulders, her breath faster. He stared at her lips, which were trembling due to cold. The saree clad to her petite figure, transparent in places, but didn't give much warmth to the girl. She looked at him as he brushed his fingers on her waist and closed her eyes. He leaned in and kissed her forhead. Kali held his shirt in her fist and smiled.

He had accepted her. Yes he did. She opened her eyes and hugged him. He hugged her back. The thundering grew louder, but failed to bring them out of the trance. Yug broke the hug and looked at her. The black mark was washed away.

Kali- Main aapse bahut pyaar karti hoon Yug...

Yug looked at her, and suddenly, all the memories flashed in front of his eyes. He felt betrayed and pushed her away from himself and turned to leave. Kali didn't understand for a second what happened. Seeing him walk away made her realize that he was still upset, she called out is name, but he paid no heed. She ran to him and held his hand and made him face her.

Kali- (pleading)Aap aise mujhe chod ke nahi jaa sakte...

Yug- Kyun? Kaun ho tum meri?(sarcastically) Beewi?

Kali- (shouting) Haan, hai hum aapki beewi...Aapne jiski maang mein sindoor bhara, jiske saath aapne saath phere liye, jiske gale mein yeh mangalsutra daala, woh hum the... hum Kali Yug Chaudhari hai, samjhe aap? Hum hai aapki beewi...

Yug looked at her in shock. Why was she so adamant to prove herself his wife? His silence and hatred took a toll on Kali.

Kali-(angrily) Ab aur aapki nafrat nahi jhel sakte... Agar aapko meri baat pe vishwas nahi ho raha, toh jaayiye, go away, leave me alone...waise bhi, main hoon kaun aapki? You are right, we should stay away from each other, jaayiye, bhool jaayiye mujhe...Maine aapko dard diya hai naa, toh thikh hai, main aapki life se door jaake woh dard mitha deti hoon...

She turned and walked away from him, trembling in cold and anger. He looked at her retreating figure and all those beautiful memories flashed in front of his eyes. He himself didn't realize when he shouted, "Ruko Kali..."

Kali tuned to look at him, anger blazing in her eyes. He ran to her and hugged her. This was surprising to her.

Yug-(still hugging) main nahi jaanta sacch kya hai, par itna jaanta hoon ki I love You...only you...

Kali smiled. This was happiness... hearing him declare his love made her strong, made her happy, made her feel heaven. She hugged him back.

Yug broke the hug and this time leaned in to kiss her lips. Kali, first wanted him to do so, but then, she knew Yug, she knew the world. She moved away from him. Yug looked at her in confusion.

Kali- Yug, hum nahi chahte ki humare pyaar ko log badnaam kare...isiliye, hum pehle sabke saamne yeh saabit karenge ki main aapki patni hoon, phir hum humare rishte ko har tarah se complete karenge... Main yeh bhi jaanti hoon ki aapke mann mein bhi sawaal hai, mujhe aapko answers dene hai...

Yug looked at her in surprise.

Yug- Tumne meri dil ki baat kaise samajh li? Mujhe mere sawaalon ke jawaab chahiye, par woh jawaab tum nahi, Gauri degi...

Kali looked at him in confusion.

Yug- ghar chale, wifey?

Kali blushed and held his hand. They walked back to the car. Yug picked his mobile from the back seat and dialed Raghu's number, asking him to send the driver. Raghu agreed. They sat on the bonnet of the car, getting wet in the rain. Both couldn't muster the courage to speak to each other. Things were getting awkward, yet sweet. They didn't want the moment to end, but the driver came. They sat in the car, and left for Chaudhari Mansion.
