With so many ads popping up all over the website they must be making a good deal of money but then there are expenses as well like server cost, office at Mumbai with a few reporters and some other costs.

I am sure they are worth a good deal but I also agree that they must be spending a lot of money in server maintenance. Since I joined IF I hv seen it down only just once that too for a few minutes only. Such kind of always on availability does cost a lot. But since mods are not paid and content is mostly user generated, the owners must be earning in big numbers.
