I second your thoughts. Sita didn't question Ram when he killed Tataka even though she knew his purpose to visit VM ashram was to kill a lady. her feminist actvivist woke up when she met with the widows of Asuras who were killed by Ram, lakshman. But she didn't feel the same feelings for Viraat's wife as he attacked Sita. They are hell bent to show this Sita as Hypocrite and pseudo feminist.
