Is this Sita for real? Or maybe she was real...Maybe the real Sita always thought that Lakshman was an unwelcome addition during Ram's and her van gaman, Lakshman was immature, impulsive incorrigible...He was so adamant that he wouldn't learn unless his hours and hours of hard work was washed away by floods. Lakshman was the reason Sita was kidnapped in first place. Heck, Lakshman almost ensured that would happen by chopping off Shurpankha's nose. The lad even had guts to confess that he did it to protect his Bhaiyya and Bhabhi. Obviously, that sort of behavior cannot be justified, can it???!!!??? Lakshman over stepped his boundaries by drawing a Lakshman-resha. He compelled Sita to challenge his authority and prove her independence by crossing the line drawn for her own protection...Protection is so passe... Or maybe this Sita is a figment of someone's imagination... Because at this point, it doesn't make sense. Period.

I am bit confused by your post..r u bein sarcastic?
Anyways Sita needs to know that Lakshman has made a huge sacrifice by coming
with them..does she expect lak to cut off his ties with Ram? The kutiya thing. .why didn't Sita tell evrything to Lakshman clearly why she is scared..so its actually Sita s fault! The rekha thing is for their protection so again Sita s fault for overreacting!! Again how stupid..Sita wouldn't have been alive today if L didn't attack so what his weapon cut her nose..did it kill her? Sita is getting annoying more than ideal to be honest!

I think one of the reasons why SKR have low trps is bcs of the surreal unrealistic mahan portrayal of Sita shown..thy have put evrything, all the mistakes on Lakshman s shoulder..and offcourse Ram and Sita overwhelming reactions and actions especially Sita..yes thy were ideals for Hindus but we're they not humans?

i completely disagree with you.. being a girl I support a woman and girl's independence.. but I am well aware of the fact that a girl is unable to fight with a man's muscle power ( at least without any training).. Its the truth and sita being potrayed here as a god must know all these things.. laxman is absolutely right in his duty.. he is only protecting sita.. Can sita fight with a rakshas if it comes to her?? so definitely she needs protection. the same thing happened during sita haran.. The lady who is speaking that she can protect herself and all ultimately failed.. SP is ruining Sita's character.. Dont do this.. They are going with the current trend of feminism.

LadyMcBeth, even I had similar thoughts. Sita -- I hope she wasn't as hopeless as this. Being a strong person is one thing, but blaming Lakshman for everything on earth? I haven't read any Ramayan versions, I am sure nowhere was Sita shown blaming Lakshman for everything. I do love this show...but I wish they would ease up on Sita's character a bit. Make her a little more sensible than this. And show Lakshman in a better light. This whole nose-cutting-blaming-Lakshman was a bit too much.

I can understand your frustration dear. Seriously, this track has ruined my interest in the show. I am planning just read the WU. I might resume after Sita haran.

Bingo! I refuse to watch another episode until Sita haran happens. Because whatever they are showing right now is certainly not Ramayan... maybe a highly melodramatic daily soap, nothing more. Sita was a human being - yes, Sita was prone to making mistakes - yes, but Sita treating Lakshman with insensitivity - a big fat NO! He was like her son...and mother-son relationship is so much more emotional, so much more sensitive. He wouldn't even look at her face while talking to her, out of respect. When Ram found Sita's jewels with Sugreev, he asked Lakshman to verify if he recognized any of those. Lakshman said, he didn't recognize any others except her payal because he used to daily worship her feet. Such was his devotion!
