Ok so this one is based round the 'Param Track' and how I would have wanted babies relationship to develop post that dreadful phase in their individual lives'; where one was ripped apart in his loyalty to his sister and respect of his wife and the other in the struggle of fighting for her self respect and dignity. RKB chose the right path, of course, but I would have wanted certain scenarios panning out and RKB making his JKR believe that he indeed knew but was in a dilemma. I know he did it but perhaps it was a bit late for my liking and the CV's could have also shown Raman to be a bit gentle post the revelation instead of being an Akhdu who showed his ego expecting Ishita to come back on her own despite his mother and sister's displeasing conduct.
It starts off from the point onwards when Ishita leaves for her house with her parents. Toshiji and Simmi go into their rooms and Param slips into his; not before Raman notices that smirk and is about to go behind him but is stopped by his father who holds him by the shoulder; his eyes downcast.
"Beti maana tha maine usse. Kya ek baap apni bachi ke saath hone detha hai aisa? Aaj humne be-izzat karke usse iss ghar se behjah hai. Uske Pita se maine waada kiya tha ke hum samman aur izzat dein ge unki beti ko magar kya apni baat rakhi maine? Puttar mujhe yakeen hai uss bachi par; woh jhut nahi keh rahi Raman... aisa mumkin hi nahi hai... Humme poori izzat se usse iss ghar mein wapas laana hai.
Raman woh Ruhi ki Maa hi nahi; woh biwi bhi hai teri aur pati hone ke naate yeh tera farz banta hai ke tu hifazat karre uski. Mera Puttar jaa aur baat kar usse. Yakeen dila usse ke uska pati uske saath hai kyunki woh jhut nahi keh rahi Puttar. Simmi ki fikar mein tu apne naye-naye rishte ko kharab naa kar... mujhe pata hai tu Simmi se kitna pyaar karta hai magar sach aakhir bahar aana hi hai. Dher naa kar"
A teary eyed Raman hugged his father whilst his father blessed him to win his wife's trust over. Mr. Bhalla wiped his son's tears gave him a happy smile. Raman's fluttering heart felt at peace with the support of his father ... he wasn't alone and that was motivating enough!
LATER IN THE NIGHT
Raman lay in bed; tossing and turning; an uneasiness burning his heart. He needed to do something and he needed to do it fast otherwise he would burn in the fire within him. Sleep wouldn't invade him tonight unless he got up on his bum and spoke to her
OUTSIDE THE IYER'S RESIDENCE
Raman paced from her and there; his palms sweating with his regret on the rise ... he needed to mend things and that to today
