I have to disagree with you. I have loved & enjoyed each phase of this show. No doubt Raja Ram's character breathed life into the show.. he was soul of this show, & that's why the first few weeks of the show will always remain dear to each one of us. It was absolutely magical. But I feel that the makers have done a great job post his exit as well. His soul lives on & that comes very effortlessly in the writing. It is so heartfelt & earnest. They never dragged the story, or indulged in OTT melodrama. The story was always to the point & realistic. Ketki & Kalyani have grown up & have entered the big bad world, but yet their innocence reflects in the way they hold their family dear. Vikrant/Kalyani moments aren't just stupid hawa hawaii moments meant to satisfy TRP audience.. there is depth, innocence to them. Also, he is her first mentor & the man who was her first support in this new world, just like how it was for Lataji. And sorry but what has showing death got to do with saas bahu dramas? The biggest reality of life is death. And as much as Kanishk will be missed, there was clear foreboding pre-leap that Kanishk would eventually die when Devika mentioned about how Kanishk is the soul of both sisters & he's what binds them together.
Clearly we are not watching the same show. I don't see how this show is even 1% similar to the regular run of the mill stories on Indian TV.
