(4 years later)
Hearing the continuous door belling sound, Madhu rushes to open the door from the kitchen.
"Coming! Coming!" Madhu shouts from inside & a moment later, she opened the door & her little girl jumps on her from her grandmother's arms.
"Ruby! Careful" Madhu chides her daughter as she clutches her securely in her arms & then settles her on her hip.
"Aunty, come in." Madhu welcomes her mom-in-lay, Radha into her house.
"Nah, Beta. Your mom & I are going to temple this evening, so I need to go back home soon. I just came to drop Ruby here." Everyday Ruby goes to her grandparents place after school as both Rk & Madhu will be in office so no one will be at home to take care of her so they let her stay with her grandparents place & by evening they will come to drop Ruby or Rk & Madhu will go there to collect her after their work.
"Bye, Ruby!" Radha says kissing Ruby's chubby cheek.
"Bye, Dadi!" Ruby kisses her back. When Radha leaves, Madhu shuts the door & takes Ruby in with her to remove her school uniform.
"Momma, I missed you. I don't want to go to school!" Ruby says to her mother, circling her arms tightly around her momma's neck.
"I missed you too, baby but you have to go to school."
"I don't like school."
"Why?"
"Miss. Stella always scolds me." Ruby says with a pout.
"Why she always scolds you?" Madhu asks in concern.
"She says Ruby is always fighting with boys'..." Ruby sighs, shaking her head.
"Why you always fight with boys?" Madhu asks frowning.
"They always bully my friends Rachel & Ria & I fight with them to stop bullying my friends..." Ruby says with a casual shrug.
"Ruby!! How many times I have told you not to pick fight with other kids?"
"Momma, they did wrong. Ruby Kundra didn't like that!" Ruby explains to her mother with her hands on her hip. Ruby can't tolerate liars, she can't stand injustice, she wants everything to be clean & perfect, she is very naughty but very loving, cute & intelligent. She is very mature to her age which surprises her parents to the core, especially Madhu who still behaves like a baby.
"You had your snacks?" Madhu asks to change the topic as she knows only her father can make his righteous daughter understand things.
"Dadi gave me fruits & Jelly..."
"Okay"
"...But I am hungry, Momma." She says & pokes her tongue out making Madhu giggle at her little girl's antics.
"What you wanna eat, My baby?"
"Noodles!"
"Okay, sweety but first Momma will run you a bath." Madhu says & picking up her daughter in her arms she walks to the bathroom.

"Momma, give your phone, I will play games." Ruby asks her mother as she sits on the kitchen counter while Madhu chops vegetables.
"Ruby, I don't have my phone. Papa has taken it to his office." Madhu lies. She doesn't like her daughter playing games in mobile phones & spoiling her eyes so lie to her.
"Oh!" Ruby nods & stealthily takes the Noodles masala packet from the kitchen top & puts it in her shorts pocket without her momma's knowledge. After chopping the vegetables & boiling the water, Madhu searches for the masala packet but she couldn't find it.
"What are you searching, Momma?" Ruby asks innocently.
"I kept the masala packet here, baby... but I couldn't find it." Madhu says while searching for it in the shelves.
"Oh that!"
"Did you take it, Ruby?" Madhu asks her suspiciously.
"I don't have it, Momma. Papa has taken it to his office." Ruby throws Madhu's own words at her & looks down at her lap to hide her laugh. Madhu gapes at her little girl with open mouth. She felt so embarrassed of lying to her & being caught too.
"Here!" Madhu hands Ruby her phone.
"Play for ten minutes & you should hand it back to momma, okay?"
"Okay! And don't ever lie, momma, it's bad." Ruby says shaking her head disappointed at her momma & takes out the masala packet from her pocket & hands it back to her momma. Then Ruby went to play games in phone & Madhu to make noodles. After sometimes, Madhu hears her phone alarm sound & right then Ruby passes the phone back to her momma.
"Ten minutes over, Momma & now Ruby is gonna watch Scooby dooby doo on youtube" Ruby says & starts singing "Scooby dooby doo... Ruby Ruby Rooo... Scooby dooby doo... Ruby Ruby Rooo..." & runs to the living room to her PC to watch her favorite cartoon. How punctilious? She set an alarm for ten minutes & returned her phone back as promised? Madhu wonders.

"Papa!" Ruby shrieks & runs to him when Rk returns home after work.
"Hey, baby doll" Rk scoops Ruby up in his arms & throws her in air & then catches back safely making Ruby squeal in glee.
"Papa, you look tired." Ruby takes her kerchief from her shorts pocket & lovingly wipes off the sweat from Rk's forehead.
"Don't work too much, Papa!" she scolds in concern & kisses her Papa's cheek.
"Okay, darling" Rk smiles & kisses her back, then he sets her down on the floor.
"Baby doll, can you get Papa a glass of water?" Rk asks Ruby.
"Okay, Papa" Ruby says & run into the kitchen to get water for her dad. Rk smiles seeing his little darling angel running in whacking her long pony. Ruby too has long thick lush hair like her mother. Ruby is a perfect blend of her mother & father. Ruby returns back to the living room, holding a glass of water with both her hands securely.
"Papa, here." Ruby passes the glass to him. Rk frowns seeing her little girl holding the glass with one hand at the bottom & other clutching the side of the glass, her middle two fingers dipping into the water as she grips it tightly.
"Is this water clean, baby?" Rk asks. Ruby plays mostly with her color clays but she always wash her hands properly, still Rk wants to make sure the water is clean as her fingers are digging in the water. Without replying to her father, Ruby takes a sip from the water & then says "It's clean & safe, Papa. See, even Ruby has drunk the water." Rk gapes at her daughter stunned for a moment & then says "Sorry, baby"
"It's okay, Papa." Ruby smiles & takes the glass closer to his mouth to make him drink & he too drinks the water without any hesitance.
"Ruby! Baby, what are you doing?" Rk asks looking down at his daughter. She is sitting on the floor & undoing his shoe lace.
"Papa, how many times should I tell you to remove your shoes outside & come in? See, you carry a lot of germs into our house." Ruby chides her Papa like a grandma.
"Baby, you leave. I will remove my shoes." Rk quickly picks his daughter up & places her beside him on the couch & starts removing his shoes. Then he takes it & places it on the shoe stand. "Good!" Ruby appreciates her Papa with a smile. Rk chuckles. They need not teach anything to their daughter instead she will teaches them whats good & what's bad.
"Where is your Momma, Ruby?" Rk asks wondering where Madhu has gone. She comes running to welcome him every evening with a bright smile. Madhu & Ruby makes Rk's heart swell with happiness. All his tiredness washes off the moment he sees his beautiful wife & daughter.
"In kitchen! Cooking, Papa"
"Oh!" Rk says & starts to walk to the direction of kitchen.
"Papa, wait! Wash your hands & go to kitchen. You have the habit of eating in kitchen itself even if the food is not well cooked so you better wash your dirty hands so that you won't eat germs!" Ruby orders.
"Okay, meri Maa!" Rk says with a chuckle & makes a beeline to the bathroom to freshen up & then heads to kitchen, leaving Ruby behind to watch TV. Rk slowly walks to the kitchen & back hugs Madhu, making her jump.
"Why you didnt come to say hi to me?" He asks as he kissed her shoulder.
"If I had come there then you won't be hugging me like this." Madhu winks. Rk laughs.
"What special? You are making carrot halwa?" Rk asks seeing Madhu making carrot halwa in a pan.
"Yes, I have something special to tell you but not now. After dinner, okay?"
"What's it baby? I don't have that much patience to wait." Rk whines.
"First taste this & tell me how it is." She takes a spoon full of carrot halwa & thrust it in his mouth. "Ah! Ah! Hot!" Rk shouts.
"Sorry sorry." Madhu pours a glass of chilled tropicana juice & makes him drink.
"Papa, what happened? You alrite!" Ruby came running hearing her father scream & asks in a worried tone.
"I am alrite, baby doll." He smiles assuring her & picks her in his arms & takes to the dining room for dinner & a moment later, Madhu follows them bringing the dishes.

After dinner, Ruby plays with her Papa & Momma for a while & then Rk takes Ruby to her room to put her to sleep.
"Papa, I don't want to sleep." Ruby says with puppy eyes.
"Papa will read Ruby's favorite Cinderella story, then you will sleep, okay baby doll?"
"No! You read stories for me daily. Today I wanna see this album & you will enlighten me, okay Papa?" Ruby asks & takes out 'Ruby's baby album' out. Rk smiles seeing that album. It's Madhu & his treasure. They have captured all of Ruby's memorable moments mostly taken by Madhu as it's her way of cherishing her daughter's milestone moments like how Rk has cherished Madhu's childhood memories by preserving her 'baby' things.
"Rishu, you still didn't put her to sleep?" Madhu asks entering into Ruby's room.
"Momma, tomorrow no school so, Papa & Ruby are gonna see this album. You wanna join?" Ruby asks as she settles herself on her dad's stomach & places the album on his chest. Rk smiles & brushes off Ruby's hair aside. Madhu smiles & sits next to Rk & snuggles closer to him to see the album.
"Omg!" Ruby gasps in shock seeing her momma with a fat belly.
"When was this picture taken, Momma? You look so fat like a pumpkin" Ruby teases her mommy.
Madhu hits Rk's hand & chides him "I told you not to take my photo when I was in labor ward. See, now she is teasing me."
"Baby doll, momma was pregnant that's why she was fat. She had you in her tummy right?" Rk explains his daughter.
"Oh, Ruby was inside her stomach? Then you look pretty mommy." She says so proudly & turns to the next photo making Rk laugh while Madhu stares at her daughter's attitude with open mouth.
"Me?" Ruby asks her Papa seeing her first picture which was taken an hour later she was born.
"Yep!" Madhu says pulling her cheek as her eyes get moist seeing her little girl's first photo. She looked so beautiful in her pale pink color & small.
"Hayee, Papa, momma & Ruby" Ruby smiles her baby smile seeing her family selfie.
"What momma is doing in this photo, Papa?" Ruby asks doubtfully.
"Feeding you" Rk answers.
"Seems like she was sleeping." Ruby giggles. Rk burst out laughing earning a glare from his wife. Yes, she was indeed sleeping while holding baby Ruby in her arms & feeding her.
"She cries a lot & keeps us awake all night. For every half an hour I will be feeding her or changing her wet nappy." Madhu says dreading. "So I slept while feeding her but taking a picture of it & showing to her is too bad, you know?" Madhu pouts at her husband.
"C'mon, you look adorable when you are asleep, isn't baby?" Rk asks Ruby.
"Yeah, but not as beautiful and adorable as me, right Papa?" Ruby asks him back. Madhu glares at Rk waiting for his reply.
"Of course, darling..." Rk says & pulls his baby doll's chubby cheeks making her giggles.
"Then I am not beautiful?" Madhu asks shooting her brow up.
"I didn't say like that... But you know babies are always beautiful than the grown up one..."
"So I am not your baby anymore?"
"Madhu, baby..." Rk starts panicking & takes Madhu's hand & kisses her little finger before biting it to calm her down. Rk knows her weak points.
"Yes, momma, you are not a baby. You are an adult. Only Ruby is a baby here."
"You are not the only baby here." Madhu tells him. Rk looks at her confused for a minute, then thinks she was referring to herself.
"This is your momma's favorite pic." Rk tells distracting them.
"My baby doll's first smile." Rk says & pokes Ruby's cheek gently.
"You know what baby? Papa was in office when you first smiled & your momma called me & just told me to come home as soon as possible & I came rushing home fearing something was wrong but then she told me you smiled for the first time in the two weeks since your were born. She even took that picture & showed me but I wanted to see your smile for myself but you made me wait for so long." Rk pouts remembering the incident & the hungama his wife created to make him come home soon.
"Ruby's smile is priceless, Papa so she made you wait. Simple." Ruby tells her dad batting her eyes cutely & starts laughing.
"Oh my Ruby... I love you, darling." Rk says & pulls her daughter on top of him & kisses her head.
"I love you too, Papa." Ruby says & settles herself on top of him. Madhu smiles seeing the sweet moment between the father & daughter duo. Suddenly she feels Rk's hand come around her waist as he pulls her closer to him & kisses her cheek & he whispers "I love u, baby." Madhu blushes hearing him say that. Then Ruby sits back & Rk props his legs up so that Ruby can lean her back on his legs while sitting on his torso.
"Hayee, dada & dadi..." Ruby points out her grandparents in the photo where they were holding little Ruby & smiling brightly.
"Momma, dadi made jelly chocie for me, today. It was yummy." Ruby says her mommy licking her lips. Madhu giggles seeing Ruby's antics.
"Why are you giggling, momma?" Ruby asks with a frown getting offended with Madhu's girl.
"You are so cute, my baby... That's why momma giggled." Madhu says with a smile & rests her head on Rk's shoulder.
Then Ruby sees so many baby pics of hers taken right from her birth & randomly arranged in the album, her naming ceremony, her crawling, her first step, her piggy ride on her nanu, madhu's father Malik, Ruby eating her first solid food milk rice from her nani's hand when she was five months old, Ruby hugging her favorite teddy, Ruby taking bath in her blooming bath, Ruby sitting on Rk's lap & trying to drive his car by holding the steering, Ruby's first birthday pictures, Ruby's first day school in her uniform, Madhu became a photo freak & started capturing every single special moments of Ruby. Madhu has even taken Ruby's first tooth picture & waiting for her milk tooth to fall so that she can put it in her chain locket & preserve it forever.
"Momma why you are sulking in this picture?" Ruby asks with a curious frown seeing Madhu looking upset when she & her dad were beaming with joy.
"That was the day you uttered your first word." Rk says grinning at Madhu.
"So?" Ruby asks in confusion.
"Your first word was 'Papa' & your momma got upset that you didn't say 'Mama' first." Rk explains. Madhu pouts.
"C'mon Madhu. Even your first word was 'Papa'... like mother like daughter." Rk tells to appease her. And that helps to put a smile on Madhu's face.
"Momma, why this pic is in my album?" Ruby asks seeing a picture of a green color snake in swimming pool. Madhu goes pale seeing that picture.
"That's the day your Papa shouted at me in his entire life. That's the day I realized how careless I was ..." Madhu tells in a shaky voice as the memory of that incident hits her back. Ruby was two years old back then & Madhu was feeding her in the pool area at her in laws house and suddenly Madhu got a call from her office so she answered it while Ruby stood beside her holding her momma's leg. Ruby started pulling her momma's saree to make her look down at her. She even opened her mouth to "haa" so that she will feed her but Madhu was too engrossed in her call. Then Ruby saw some moment behind the flower pots kept on the sides of the compound wall & getting interested Ruby leaves her mother & rushes to see what it was & finds a green rope like thing & she quickly grabbed it in her hands not knowing it was a snake.
"Maa... Maa..." Ruby called her momma, when Madhu turned to check on her daughter, she got shocked to see Ruby holding a reasonably big snake. Well, it was actually small one but big in the hands of Ruby.
"Ruby!!" Madhu shrieked & dropped the phone from her hand. Hearing her loud scream Rk came running to the pool area & got shocked seeing what Ruby was playing with. Then he quickly rushed to Ruby & snatched the snake from her hands making sure the mouth of the snake didnt touch her, then he threw the snake immediately into the swimming pool & took his baby girl in his arms & he frantically checked whether the snake had stung her.
"Ruby... Rishu..." Madhu was paralysed for a moment & after recovering from her shock she rushed to them to take Ruby in her arms.
"Stay away, Madhu." Rk shouted at her. Madhu looked at her husband shock. he had never raised his voice at her but now he was shouting at her with anger blazing his eyes.
"You can't even look after a little girl? Where were you so engrossed in? Is your phone call more important to you than watching Ruby?" Rk asked her angrily seeing her broken phone on the floor & guessing she was talking on it as he had already seen her getting too involved while talking about work to her employees over phone & forgetting about the surrounding.
"What if she had fell into the pool? Or something happened to her? Gladly that snake didn't sting her otherwise I wouldn't have forgiven you for your carelessness." Hearing his scoldings, Madhu started crying.
"Rishu, I am sorry... I was... Sorry... Please give Ruby to me... Let me check her." How much ever Rk was angry with her he couldn't forbidden her from holding her baby so he reluctantly moved towards her to pass Ruby to her who was crying now witnessing the loud scream & crying.
"Shush, baby.. baby, please don't cry... I m so sorry." Madhu mumbled her apology as she checked Ruby's hands & legs & found no snake bites & heaves a sigh of relief only then she spotted two dots of blood on Rk's right hand near his thumb.
"Rishu... Your hand..." She points to his hand & before she could complete her sentence she faints. Rk quickly held her with one hand preventing her from her fall & took Ruby with another hand & bounced her to stop her cry. An hour or so later, when Madhu got her consciousness back, she found herself on the bed, Rk & her baby girl playing sitting beside her.
"Hey! How are you?" Rk asked Madhu with a gentle smile. Gone was all the anger & only tenderness left in him. He got worried when his wife went white as a sheet & fainted.
"How are you? I saw the snake's bite..." she says & quickly takes Rk's hand to examine it. "God! Did you check with the doctor?... Ruby.. Rishu... What if the snake had bit my baby girl... She is okay right? You okay right?..."
"Madhu, relax. I am okay. That was not a poisonous snake so nothing happened to me... For safety the doctor even gave me a tetanus shot. Ruby is fine. You don't start crying again & scare her." He calmly said to her. She nodded her head & hugged him.
"I am sorry. I will be careful from now on." She whispered as her hand caressed Ruby's head. Rk smiled & kissed Madhu's head.
"Momma, you are so weak. You always faint. Even today evening..." Ruby says to her momma hearing the back story of that snake's photo.
"Ruby, stop you blabber box & see the photos..." Madhu cuts her mid sentence. Rk frowns at Madhu & asks her 'whats the matter?' through his eyes but she shakes her head with a slight blush.
"Papa, Sullu uncle" Ruby says excitedly seeing her photo with Sultan. Sultan is her favorite uncle as he pampers her so much. Only he will justify Ruby's mischievous acts. He even daily meets Ruby in her school & give chocolates to her & if he fails to come on any day due to his work at office, he will send the chocolate through his son.
"This is so funny" Ruby giggles seeing the next photo. It was taken on last valentine's day where all the male members Mohan, Malik, Rk, Sultan, Sikky & Micheal proposing their respective wives holding a rose & bending down on their knees & the ladies smiling shyly at them but the main focus of the photo was Ruby as there were three boys Siddharth, Roshan & Steve, dressed in black suits, kneeling down in front of her with red rose in their hands.
"Why those 3 idiots gave me roses the other day, momma?" Ruby asks still not getting out of her confusion.
"Ruby!" Rk chides her daughter and asks her not to call them 3 idiots. After all they are kids too. Well, crazy kids crazily behind his baby girl.
"They love you, baby so they gave you roses like how papa gave momma a rose."
"It's Ruby we are talking about momma, who will not love her?..." Ruby asks her momma pompously. Madhu looks stunned with her daughter's attitude. From where she got this much of attitude? Her father a sweet, humble, down to earth man & she knows she was or is a brat but never showed this much attitude at this young age, then how come their daughter be like this? "... Dada, Dadi, Nanu, Nani, Momma, Papa, Sullu uncle, hmm... Dipali aunty, Sikky uncle, Trishna aunty, ... hmm... Nisha aunty, Mic uncle, oh I missed Doctor uncle & Aunty, Aaru and..." she stops her long list & starts cutely blushing.
"And?" Rk asks his daughter curiously.
"And Aarav. He too loves me." Ruby says with a glint of childish glee in her eyes. Lucky Aarav! Rk and Madhu shares a glance as they both thought the same. "Everyone loves Ruby" Ruby says throwing her hands wide open making her parents laugh in pride. Ruby studies in Aarav & Aaradhana's school & Aarav was her first friend in her school. She used to cry a lot in the initial days she joined school. She sits alone in the ground and cry for her momma & papa with no one to care & one day a boy of 7 or 8 yrs noticed her crying alone so he came & talked to her. He also fed Ruby her lunch & gave a chocolate he had in his pocket to Ruby & brought a smile on her face. Soon they become best of best buddies. And the boy was none other than Aarav (future Doctor) who called Ruby a 'lazy sleepy head' even before she was born. (History repeats!!😉) His sister Aaradhana also became a good friend to little Ruby.
"Momma, Papa... Mermaid Ruby!!" Ruby says showing her dimple smile. She got chubby rosy cheeks from her momma & dimple smile from her papa. "Papa, I look pretty as mermaid right?"
"My baby doll is always pretty." Rk says with a happy smile. His eyes glint with tears just by looking at his beautiful daughter. Madhu leans down & kisses Rk's temple realizing he was getting emotional.
"She is our blessing, Madhu" Rk whispers to Madhu. Madhu nods with a happy smile as she cares Ruby's hair.
"Momma, for this year school fancy dress competition I played Mermaid... what will I play for next year?" Ruby asks her momma worriedly. Madhu was the one who suggested her daughter will dress up as mermaid & Ruby won the first prize too.
"We will think about that later, Ruby. Now quickly see the album & go to bed. It's getting late." Madhu orders her gently.
"Okiee!" She says & turns the album & looks one by one.
"My last birthday photos." Ruby remembers when those photos were taken as her fourth birthday went only two months back. "I love this group photo" Ruby says caressing the photo of Rishbala's family & close friends.
"And I love this photo too." Ruby says pointing to the next photo taken with her family & Aarav's family. Dr. Rishab has become their family doctor, Ruby's health was monitored by him in regular intervals to make sure she's health. Madhu got close with his wife as the two ladies meet in their kid's school when they come to pick up them and once they got close friends, they started going out for shopping together or catch up in parties. The two Rishab families go out for dinners or theme parks with their kids as Aarav & Aaru are so fond of Ruby & vice versa so they were also invited for Ruby's birthday.
"And finally we are at the end of the album" Rk declares with a huge sigh as they have been watching this album for nearly two hours now & turns to see the final photo of Ruby crying.
It was taken on the same day of her fourth birthday. When the party was going on full swing, Ruby came running to her parents & asked them loudly "Momma, Papa, I want a baby." Rk's looked down at her daughter in shock while Madhu looked at her husband with eyes full of hope. She has been demanding for another baby for the past three years but Rk was so firm with his decision of having only one child as he didn't want to see Madhu in labor pain again. Even Madhu agreed that Ruby will be their only child when she was in labor but then after a year, she started pestering Rk that they will have one more kid as she felt Ruby will get lonely but Rk convinced saying Ruby will get their undivided attention so 'NO' to another baby.
"Aarav has a sister & they don't get bored at all as they play together. But Ruby? I have no one. I get so lonely. Even I want a baby bro or baby sis to play with me so that I won't get bored or feel lonely at home."
"You can play with my son. Every day after school I will leave him with you at your house or you come to your house so that you can play with Roshan, what say, honey?" Sultan piped in.
"I want a baby to pamper not a big boy." Ruby shouted throwing her hands in the air making everyone laugh at her cute antics.
"No doubt she is taken after you, Rk. She wants to babysit a new brat." Sultan commented with a laugh. Rk & Madhu both glared at him.
"Don't laugh everybody!" Ruby shouted. She hated others making fun of her.
"She has a temper, dude! Like her mother." Sultan butts in again & earned a slap on his forearm from Madhu.
"Momma, I want a baby, please."
"Go ask you Papa" Madhu said trying hard to keep a straight face but inside she was dancing as she knew her daughter will succeed in her demand.
"Papa..."
"Ruby, go play with your friends" Rk tried to brush off the topic in hand.
"Papa, please..." Ruby pleads with teary eyes.
"Hey, dude, she looks damn cute when she whimpers" Sultan grinned & took a snap of a crying Ruby.
"Stop crying, Ruby darling." Rk picked up Ruby in his arms & walked a little away from the crowd to convince her.
"Do you think she will convince her Papa" Nisha asked madhu.
"I guess she will. If she wants something then she will get it. Besides Rishu can never say no to her wishes because he loves her so much."
"He loves you so much too but said no to you right when you asked for having another baby, right?" Dipali reminds him.
"I will screw him if he agrees to her demand." Madhu said through gritted teeth now realizing that her husband actually said no to her wish.
"But then you want another child right?" Trishna asked her.
"Yeah. I love babies. They are just adorable. Ruby changed our entire life & brought so much happiness... every day we see the world through her eyes & its so beautiful. so I would love to have at least one more baby. May be a boy!" Madhu started dreaming.
"Better not twins." Doctor's wife sighs dramatically.
"But I love twins" Madhu said with glee.
"They are hard handle." she said looking at her twin kids Aarav & Aaru.
"C'mon, they are so sweet. See, my Ruby is asking for a sis or bro only after seeing your kids. Aarav cares a lot for his sister likewise Ruby wants to care for her sis or bro. Hope my girl make her hard headed father agree to her demand."
"Papa, please... I want a baby sis or bro as my birthday gift." Ruby declared & finally Rk gave in to her demand. From the night, Rk & Madhu started trying for another baby.
"Still you both didn't give my birthday gift." Ruby says with a pout.
"Wait. I will come." Madhu says & walks out of Ruby's room leaving them confused. Then a minute later she returns holding something behind her back.
"What?" Rk asks. Then Madhu brings her hand forward & opens her fist hand showing them a chain with locket. Rk's face breaks into a huge smile understanding what that means. They are pregnant again & thats the special news for which she made carrot halwa. Ruby continues to frown. Then Madhu puts the chain around Ruby's neck & hooks it.
"Momma, I didn't ask for a chain? I want a baby." Ruby protests.
"Ruby, keep this chain safe always okay."
"Why?" Ruby asks.
"See, Papa & Momma have similar chains so you too have."
"What's this?" Ruby asks holding the locket.
"It's a locket. In that locket you will put your baby sis or bro's tooth."
"Tooth?"
"Yes. Papa has my first fallen tooth, I will put yours in my locket when it falls."
"My teeth will fall?" Ruby asks shocked.
"They will fall but then they grow back again."
"Okay. So where is the baby."
"Coming soon" Madhu winks at her baby girl & Ruby in joy jumps off her Papa's stomach & launches herself on her momma.
"Ruby, careful." Rk quickly picks her up in his arms & settles back on him as he pulls Madhu closer to him by slipping his hand around her waist & caressing her stomach & then he kisses her cheek.
"I love you, Madhu"
"I love you too, Rishu."
"I love you both, Papa & Momma" Ruby shouts & hugs her parents. Then Madhu settles Ruby between them & takes a selfie of them in her phone, yet another memory to cherish, the day their family came to know about the special member who is gonna join them in another 7 or 8 months. Few months later Madhu gave birth to a baby boy & Ruby named her baby bro as Rishi Kundra & they all lived happily ever after.

I really loved writing both the seasons.
Never thought I will be writing LSAM season 2 but I did it & made it my longest story ever. It happened only because of your support & encouragement guys. You all overwhelmed me with your lovely comments... I thought at one point you will get bored with this story & stop reading but no! U all traveled with me through out the journey of LSAM2!! Thanks a ton guys! Love you all!

P.S - don't ask me who took the photo of the snake when Madhu fainted...😆
She took that pic when that snake visited their home again & swimming in thier pool... U know its hot for snakes too so they love to swim in pool water... & then Madhu took the photo & put the pic later to her album so that she will remember that incident...😆
