A new entry in 'Meri Saasu Maa' is set to bring about a major twist in the tale. The pretty actress Aanchal Khurana, who was last seen in Sarojini, will soon join the show as the antagonist. She will play the role of a dancer, modelled on Deepika Padukone's character in Happy New Year, who pretends to be an NRI from America. She says, "My character will have two shades --- a classy NRI and the other of a nachnewali from Bihar."
This will also be her second association with producer Saba Mumtaaz, who wrote her character Charu in the popular show Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke. "It's because of her, I got recognition in the acting field after my stint in Roadies. I am extremely happy to be associated with her again and also producer Siddharth Kumar Tewary."
