"I Can Call My Film With Ranbir A Modern Day Fairytale," says Ayan Mukherji

Ranbir Kapoor's fans will soon see him in a superhero avatar!

Earlier, we had exclusively reported that Ranbir's dear friend Ayan Mukherji will be helming the superhero project. There were several speculations of the film being shelved, but Ayan once again confirmed that the film is totally on! Last night, at the special screening of Captain America: Civil War, the director said, "The film is on, I don't know where those reports came from. We are hoping to begin shooting soon, that's why I have come to see Captain America, to try to learn something from it."

When asked about the genre of the film, the Wake Up Sid director revealed, "I can call my film as adventure fantasy or a modern day fairytale. It's a film set in contemporary India, but there's a hint of ancient Indian magic in the film."

Ayan even confirmed that Alia Bhatt is paired opposite Ranbir in the film and he hopes to start shooting for the film soon.

Well, we can't wait to see Ranbir in a fantasy film!

Ranbir Kapoor not a lead in Imtiaz's next but has a cameo

Ranbir who has worked with director Imtiaz Ali in 'Rockstar' and 'Tamasha', will not be playing the lead role in his friend's next film but will have a cameo. The movie stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma and it is believed that the actor will be playing Anushka's boyfriend in the film.

Anushka and Ranbir will be sharing screen space for the second time, even if it is brief. The actors were cast opposite each other in 'Bombay Velvet' and 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil.'

When this director and actor decided to work together, their project didn't generate any buzz. But the film was a runaway success and also won critical acclaim. There was no way the duo wouldn't have had worked again, so they decided to team up for another film. This time, they decided to make a big film but the film didn't work and went unnoticed. Now the director had already announced another film with the same actor but after the failure of their second film, he is going ahead with a bigger name and the actor won't be part of this film. Plus, couple of more movies featuring this actor tanked at the ticket counter in the recent past. The actor is particularly miffed and has been sharing this sad' story with his close friends from the industry. Sigh!

It is difficult to believe that the blind is about ranbir imtiaz especially the way it projects their first film.

Rockstar created a lot of buzz trailer was liked and songs were a runaway hit. Film didn't received much critical acclaim instead it emerged a success due to its pre release hype and music. It failed to sustain after 1st weekend.

Ya agree about the second film as they made tamasha on a large scale but it turned out to be a dud.

But don't remember that they announced a third film together rather imtiaz film with srk was making headlines before tamasha released. Even if the blind is pointing about them then it's pretty inaccurate on facts

This is the best thing about ranbir all rumors about his personal and professional life are mutually exclusive to each other and are 80% wrong anyways.😆

But I am scared of srk working with imtiaz he is physco and he makes only physco films.and I am very happy that rk is not working with him at least for the time being🥳

From superhero to fairytale 🤔 can we fast forward 3 yrs so that Jagga, superhero and baba biopic are done and out and talk about new exciting films RK might sign ...

I m not sure the blind is rk imtiaz. It says the director had already announced 3rd film wkth the actor but post the 2nd film he dropped the film. But srk imtiaz rumors started during tamasha promotions itself. He never announced or hinted at a film with rk.

And rickstar didnt generate any buzz before release?

Hmm...I wouldn't be surprised if Ranbir is upset about Imtiaz not repeating him, but there was a lot of buzz around Rockstar and SRK's name was thrown around for Imtiaz's next long before Tamasha came out.

And Ayan needs to shelve this superhero film and make something else.

when are these movies coming? everytime it takes years for Biru to finish a movie...
i miss him these days...want to see him in Barfi-like movie..but such movies come by very rare it seems...
waiting for jagga n sanju biopic... i dont dig Kjo's movie much since KKHH
