Friday's disclosure - Tanu is marrying the wrong person
When will Tanu realize that she should not marry the wrong person? Right from the time she said 'yes' to Pawan ka rishta - Tanu knew she was marrying the wrong person. At that time the only other people other than her who were aware about her agreeing to marry the wrong person were Ahaana and Rishi.
But now, Manpreet, Beeji, UV, and Rano know too. Initially they thought that she was unenthusiastic because she missed her parents - but now they know her heart is not it - they know it is telling her she is not meant for Pawan.
Right from the get go, Rishi was pleading with her - and, Ahaana too. Then how did Tanu end up in this situation? It is not because of Chachi - it is not because it is (as perChachi's story) her father's last wish, and it is not because Rishi is engaged to Neha.
It is because one, Tanu does not understand other people. She has led such a protected life that her exposure to the outside world is limited. And, as often pointed out by Ahaana, Tanu rarely mingled with people of the opposite sex. So, she know little about men. In short, Tanu does not know much about men, women, and the jealousies that plague people.
Yes, she has intimate knowledge of Rishi's psyche - but she has no interest in understanding the psyche of Pawan, Chachi, Chacha, Neha, or that of Raj and Rano.
It is because two, Tanu does not believe she will be happy. Somehow after her parents death Tanu lost that inner confidence in herself, call it depression, or call it apathy - but Tanu does not believe she will be happy. And so, the unhappiness that will be hers by marrying Pawan, right now in this frame of mind, seems acceptable to her. Is she unconsciously punishing herself for being responsible for her parents death? Perhaps it is likely. Is she unconsciously punishing Rishi for not coming earlier and claiming her - I doubt it. For in that case, she would have caved in to his repeated declarations of love and "sorry".
Rishi is doing all he can to stop Tanu's engagement with Pawan. Getting the photographs off Pawan's phone did not work. Knocking sense into Tanu - too did not work. Getting mad at Karthiyayini got him no where. What will he do next? Your guess is as good as mine.
Will Rano be able to help? Will UV, Beeji and Manpreet work out something? Will Ahaana be able to reason with her?
