To me, SPB is a legend, but it is a voice I grew up with and have heard it in multiple languages. He and Rafi saab I listen to almost every day. They are legendary. Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan are much better than the current ones, but it is song dependent, they are not extraordinary or legendary to me. But YMMV as they say and individual tastes are different and who speaks to you is what matters. But some songs even by current singers resonate with me.

I think Javed Ali and KK too have a great hold on the sur and sing with a lot of passion

I love Sonu ofcourse, but he like all singers has his share of strengths and weaknesses - his voice is absolutely not suited for party numbers, however other wise he more than makes up with fantastic rendition in pretty much every other genre

I like the variety in the new singers especially in voice but I can't understand why some sound so different when they sing live. The older singers sound the same and have powerful vocals but when I listen to the new ones they don't sound the same. That confuses me.
