Deepika Padukone, Sanjay Leela Bhansali rift is just a misunderstandin

Last week, filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali hosted a party to celebrate his National Award win. While the who's who of the industry attended the do, Deepika Padukone, who played the role of Mastani in his hit film, Bajirao Mastani (2015), was conspicuous by her absence. Now, we have found out that even though the actor couldn't attend the party, as she was in Mumbai only for six hours on that day, she met Bhansali before the event.

An insider says, "Deepika was one of the first people to congratulate Bhansali for the National Award. She is really happy for him. She had returned from Sri Lanka on the same day, and was in India only for a few hours before she flew off to Toronto, Canada, where she is shooting for her maiden Hollywood film. However, she still found the time to meet the filmmaker. They spent over an hour together."

We have been told that the director and the actor may have been discussing another potential collaboration. "After working together on two successful films " Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013) and Bajirao Mastani " they have developed a good bond. Bhansali has always been fond of Deepika and has also been appreciative of her work. Whether there will be an announcement from them sometime soon, only time will tell," adds the insider
