How about would Mastani be a negative character if Aishwarya were playing it

P.S. What is your opinion on Binodini in Chokher Bali??

Cheete Ki chaal, Baaz ki nazar ,Bajirao ki talvaar aur mastani(dp) ke character par sandeh nahi karte.

ps- slb completely distorted history with that movie. only thing he got right was bajirao was married to kashi bcoz mastani was also married to bajirao...other than this the emotions, characters , plots etc were all bhansali's own imagination.

Binodini was a &%$% .. Like seriously, she steals an innocent and that woman's husband who had truly loved her as an older sister. Moreover, i always thought that binodini never loved Mahendra, she had to prove a point to him, and may be to herself that he was wrong to reject her and then later on marry somebody as illiterate and not so beautiful like Asha.

But that was the point of the story and Binodini's character right? It's evident in all the versions that Binodini uses Mahendra to get back at him for rejecting her.

Now that I think of it, Zoya's character from Raanjhnaa is so much like Binodini!

yeah that was the point of the whole character of Binodini, but in that process both Mahendra and that doctor falls for her and Mahendra ( douchebag ) indeed leaves his whole empire behind and follows her and then she asks him to go back ? Like WTH was that ? in this whole thing Asha is dumped, betrayed and binodini expects Asha to accept Mahendra back ? .. I am comparing Binodini and mastani here and in that context only, i think Binodini is the worser one, Mastaani did truly love Bajirao though whereas Binodini led Mahendra to blindly fall for her and even dump his loyal wife only for that rejection which he was not even sure would affect her like this.

Zoya in Raanjhna is again a douchette, Binodini is far more stronger, shrewed and actually had seen a lot of set back, like Mahendra's rejection, becoming a widow at this young age, i can still understand her point of trying to win over Mahendra, but Zoya just used Kundaan like a tissue paper and dumped him and even blamed him and killed him mercilessly .

PS- Aish was bad as binodini, i wish somebody like Konkona or even Vidya could be binodini, while Sonam was good as Zoya.
