Feature: Tele stars on Children's Day
With Valentine's Day and Friendship Day gaining acceptance among Indians, Children's Day (November 14) seems to have taken a backseat. We spoke to some television actors to find if they would be celebrating it with their children and also their memories of this day as a kid.
Gauri Tonk: Everyday is Children's Day for my daughter as she demands something everyday but yes I am planning to take her out with her friends to play some games. I will also buy some good books for her but let's see how it goes because her school has started. I myself never celebrated this day because this concept was not there when I was a kid and anyways my parents considered it a waste of time and money. Now we know the importance of it so I want to let with my daughter know otherwise they will never understand the significance of this day and who Pandit Nehru was. I want to gift her something special which she will always remember but I am not yet sure what.
