I'm gonna ask myself this tomorrow when I fail my calculus exam cause math and I this semester are just not friends LOL. Yuck, been studying all day for calc and chem so I decided to take a break and watch the episode, cause I wasn't gonna post today but then the CVs had to go ahead and give me such an emotionally packed and progressing episode that I could not deal and just have to speak! But seriously, today my heart broke for almost everyone on the show; I feel like this is a theme the CVs are playing on ever since Kunj stepped on and popped the heart balloons when Monu was hospitalized and it's not so great for my health lol. I sympathize with yet disagree with many of the positions the characters are in today but I could imagine them all asking themselves ke kya Kasoor tha unka?
I totally get you dude. I even felt bad for the Chaudry because no parents deserves that tbf. Love how you related it back to the heart balloons that Kunj stepped on (Areeba's influence 😆) But today's episode was quite literally about heart break. If it was a series, the episode would probably be called that in all honesty.
1. Born and raised in the US, I could never live in a village simply because of the regressive thoughts and the amount of pressure/restrictions put on women. My parents have never forced my siblings or I to do anything or imposed things way too much, all while teaching us our limits. I find Chaudry Ji's fault to be something representative of all our villages- restrict the girl so much that she hides things and in the end all is worse than expected. Rajjo was too afraid to tell her father about her love and would rather commit suicide, and so telling her parents about her pregnancy was NEVER going to happen. Considering the extremely conservation relationship between the father and daughter, I felt bad for Chaudry Ji because his izaat is on the line. It's connected to his daughter and up to her to uphold it and he even agreed to a boy of her choice- so the fact that she got pregnant before marriage is a HUGE deal. Heck my parents would flip crazy, like I can't even imagine what would happen, so without judging society and all that shabam, I could feel for Chaudry Ji. He's trying to put together a fab wedding for his only daughter and this is what happens. It would hurt ANY parent so the fact that it happened in Hissar, to his own daughter is bound to cause him to lose his sh*t. As pissed off as I was that he touched Kunj, any father would do that, it was bound to happen considering the situation at hand.
Ohh you wrote about Chaudry! Didnt scan through this first. I agree with you. No parent would be ok with their daughter becoming pregnant before marriage. It doesnt really help that he actually agreed to the LOVE marriage and then this revelation occurs. Its like a slap in the face. I could understand Chaudry's position. Dude, my parents would disown me or I'd be getting hitched back home. As extreme as some people may think it is, Respect and Chastity are two things that define a girl in our culture. It doesnt matter where you're from. I live in a city in the UK and even then, their is huge importance given to community and social status. Any parent would react like that.
Sangram pissed me off. Number one, thats his younger sister. Number two, she's f*cking pregnant. If he had managed to become a good brother to her, she might not have been in this situation to begin with BUT regardless, you do NOT throw and push around someone who is expecting. Thats wrong on so many levels.
2. Rajjo oh Rajjo. I feel like she's taking advantage of Kunj and Twinkle's goodness now- as much as I love her. Her Raja is nowhere to be found, a stranger almost lost his life today protecting HER child and she continued to plead to him to not say anything. I found it disgusting that Sangram pushed her to the floor in such a state and moreover I hate that she's in this position. She fell in love and got carried away and now her world is falling apart but my only thing is she's not taking responsibility for her actions. Instead she's shoving her responsibility on Kunj and things are only going to get crazier with Yuvi's entry tomorrow.
I mentioned the Sangram thing already. Better to have no brother than a brother like that.
In a way, I dont blame Rajjo for not being able to take responsibility for her actions. I feel thats more because of her protective upbringing, she's never committed an act which she had to defend or justify. So considering this was probably her first act of defiance, she doesnt understand that the full extent of the consequences either. Her motto is pretty much apologise until her father gives in which is most likely what she's done her whole life. I hope this baby will give her the guts to take a stand against injustice.
3. Kunj baby, I feel the worst for you (and Twinkle ofc). He saved a girl from committing suicide, and in return he's almost had to become his wife's brother, pretend to be a baby's father and almost get killed. More than for Rajjo, I feel like Kunj's stance was to protect the life she is carrying. Just hearing that they wanted to kill the baby put Kunj's protective, SHER mode on and he didn't back down even in the face of a gun. He stood there, taking responsibility for a stranger and her child, because of his pure soul. When he just stood there and glared at Chadury Ji, my heartbeat was so fast because I mean I knew nothing would happen but damn.
I LOVED THIS SCENE. I CANT EVEN TELL YOU HOW MUCH! I've always adored Kunj's protective mode! It's so hot! He, in every sense is a pure soul. I think I fell in love with him all over. His immediate response was to push Rajjo back and protect the baby. Now this is me trying my fair share of analysing but a baby usually connotates to new beginnings or 'rebirth' in some cultures; it's usually associated with coming happiness and prosperity. Kunj protecting the baby literally screamed how he will go to any extent to protect his new beginning with Twinkle and their relationship. Does this make sense? I think I'm trying to find significance in everything 😆
Let me just add, at one point I thought Chaudry would slap Kunj again and Kunj would hold his hand and say 'Bas! Bohot hogaya' and then give them a lecture on how disgusting they are even thinking about killing an innocent child.
4. Kunj gets slapped but Twinkle feels the pain. Talk about soul mates. The way she screamed at him getting hurt and the possibility of him dying hurt me too. Neither of them asked for this and yet look where they are, trying to be good people. When she was putting ice on his slap burn, my heart broke seeing her cry. That scene broke me because of how much these two love each other but how they still have some time till happiness. Kunj saying he would die if something happened to her, Twinkle saying she can't live without him, ah my heart (and it all sounds better in Hindi lol). The hug was so intense and emotional and I couldn't because they fit so perfectly together. HATS off to Sidhant and Jasmine because they executed that scene so well- the tears in his eyes and the anxiety in hers, so well done! And poor Jas's nose was sooo red aww.
Dude this scene had me in all types of feels. I love Jas but Sid wows me every time man. His eyes are so expressive and he pulls off emotional scenes so well 👏 I love how he got concerned seeing tears in her eyes and he touched her face. I swear every time these two touch each others faces, something happens to my heart. Their telepathic connection is so adorable. Like in the first scene when she remembered that he doesnt eat chilli. I'm pretty sure Kunj was smiling remembering that encounter too before Rajjo fainted. Even when the pregnancy news came out, the way he looked at Twinkle first hit me so hard. She's literally his companion, his comrade, his partner in crime.
5. I cannot believe I'm saying this but I felt so bad for Mahi. This is what I wanted to happen. Mahi is someone I grew to hate because of her blindness, her disrespect towards Twinj and her nonsensical behavior. So I am happy this happened, she needed this to wake her up and show her Yuvi's reality or else she would be in a much worse position if she let this continue. However, my heart broke for her because no girl deserves this. She fell blindly in love-similar to Twinkle, and she fell hard in the end too. Seeing her love, her husband romancing someone in a pool, clearly yelling about her being an ugly duckling and him hating her, was horrible. I think I felt bad more because of Shritama's performance. It was absolutely brilliant, her scene was my favorite in the episode today. The way she walked into the pool, remembering all of Yuvi's promises, the song, the screaming, it all seriously hurt. When she screamed KYUN?!?! I jumped because omg that was so painful. Her sindoor was washed from her face, portraying how her marriage has come to a horrible end, her faith and her love has been murdered by Yuvi. Her dupatta was away from her, at the bottom of the pool and for me that was symbolic of her stripped innocence. Yuvi took her love, faith, innocence and her family away from her and now I hope and pray to see a redemption track between the two sisters.
I was so surprised that Mahi actually found out like this but boy, am I glad she did! The disbelief, then the realisation was portrayed so well. Mahi tripping first, remembering Yuvis promise, then composing herself, tells me she'll get back on her two feet very soon and she wont need Yuvi anymore. The pool scene was so significant dude! (I think I pay too much attention to Areeba's posts) All i could think of was that the scene resembled someone bathing in the Ganga for purity etc. If I'm not mistaken, a lot of shows show new characters or supposedly dead characters re-emerge from the water. I seriously think that we will see a completely new Mahi from tomorrow. The pool scene somewhat indicated her 'rebirth' for me.
I cant wait to finally see Twinkle and Mahi have a sisterly relationship. I really want to see how she redeems herself.
Honestly, Shri was amazing today, and I'm excited to see where Mahi's character goes from here. It was an amazing episode, so much happened for everyone and the Precap is interesting lol. I wanted Kunj to be the first to apply Holi on her but *sigh* guess it's Yuvi. As Areeba said to me yesterday, Holi signifies the end of evil, so I have hope Twinj will win yet again.
I'm glad she actually got a decent scene to portray. The actress isn't bad. I've watched her in Best Friends Forever and she was pleasant to watch.
WAIT DO WE KNOW THAT ITS YUVI FOR SURE WHO APPLIES COLOR TO HER FIRST? No man, it HAS to be Kunj. I am not having this. Yeh meri zid hai. 😆
PS: Zain in a pool was very very very hot. And Sid in that shirt omg his muscles LOL.
I was literally thinking, why did he have to be so hot? You want to hate him with all your heart but you just cant!
Would love to hear your thoughts guys!
My rambling more like. Great post!
