Tired of the overbearing professionals

I am so sick and tired of overbearing professionals whose arrogance knows no limit.

tbh i actually found her behaviour weird and unprofessional as well ..but he isn't any less --but ya totally agree with u--- but i guess she said some of the things just b/c she was so upset with whatever that happened

No I don't agree with you...
The fact is that she Is A DOCTOR first of all
She came first in her class as told by her brother.
And she is not egoistic but hates that dev bosses around coz he has power ( at least that what she thinks)otherwise she's a very nice girl. Who does leave their interview, for the job by which your whole family survives because of an old woman who happens to collapse in a market????
Who does take the hard way and helps their patients extra. She just hates when people mess with her work that is her patients and all, that's why she was so resentful towards dev.

I guesss you should get your facts corrected before making any kind of post about any character of the show, but if you don't... We are here to correct them :)
Of course you must be knowing more but don't you think it's a LOT early to make assumptions about anyone... We haven't seen her perspective that much but by what we have seen SHE ISN'T ARROGANT "BLASTING" , HAUGHTY or any of the things you listed...that's my POV and I know most people will agree...
Maybe you've seen more diverse category of people but about her I must say she's anything other than the things you listed.

I do think Sonakshi is a little obnoxious and can be overbearing, especially when it comes to some patients. But on the whole, I think she'd a pretty nice doctor. From the three patients of hers we've seen (excluding Dev's mom), she's been really chill and nice. She offered advice to the pregnant lady when it came to buying the medicine and she made friends with the little boy in order to entice him to follow his diet (according to the mom/ phone convo). The only one she was a little rude to, was the punjabi man who kept on breaking his diet. But even then, I feel like she was right to be angry because she's trying so hard to get him healthy and he doesn't care. Scaring him was the right way to get him to stay on the diet.

Also it's absolutely within the right of a doctor to refuse any patient unless n untill that patient is moribund and can die immediately if the doctor refuses to attend to him/her. Medical ethics clearly says only this kind of patient should not be refused on the ground of humanity. All other patients can be tranferred to another doctor or specialist and refused to have even first contact check up.

And here this girl, who'd just lost her job the previous day , who's in dire need of money and who's the sole bread earner of the family , who is in sore need of this new job , gives the interview a miss so that life of an unknown old lady. If that is not the sign of a golden heart, then I don't know what is .👏👏👏

Plus she's a scholar as her brother pointed out and extremely dedicated to all her patients EQUALLY, which is again some thing very important in medical ethics , no matter from which class , section , religion, color or financial status they belong to, a doctor should treat them equally. Unfortunately that often doesn't happen in reality . The rich and powerful the biggies get the cream of the care and very little reaches those who need a doctor the most . Sonakshi is an exception. And she made it clear to DEv also exactly why she's refusing to take up Dev's rather weird offer , because that'd be wrong ethically and it was wrong to say your mom is special and others can wait and drop them.

I just hope Sonakshi never takes up Dev's offer, but the way all her roads to survival and earning of livelihood is getting blocked , I know she won't be left with any choice but to accept his very unfair offer. It shatters my heart that a doctor had to compromise in thisCway and ultimately bend down to the rich and powerful. This is so so wrong at so many levels.

Exactly that's why I posted this...I mean even by these much efforts if "someone" can't see she's so dedicated lovely and professional...I don't know dude if you want to see it or just ignoring.
I'm mean I'm just a normal 17 year old and you people must have seen more of the world than me but what I can say is
Judging people is so bloody easy but to stand up fosomeone's wrong flow of thought is very difficult...
You know in TEI forum...we guys even appreciate the villain...kyun? Kyunki he's a normal actor doing wonderful acting!!!

But I just want people to know that bashing doesn't end anywhere and as you saw above ...people do support it.
When I saw this post...I was agitated and that's why it all came out a little rude but the point is you just can't keep saying anything na without any head or tail of it!!!!!!!

And there's more that I quote "I don't like her personality at all, its obvious that what LITTLE EDUCATION she has under her belt has inflated her ego" , I'm mean seriously???? Little education????? I don't know but it came out like a taunt which looked absolutely horrible!!!!!!! 😡

I'm so sorry to say that people post crap here without checking what they are saying or writing!!!!!!! I guess people should leave the show if they have so much problems with the protagonists but then again I can't tell anyone what to to and what not do I'm very sorry if I hurt anyone

Regarding her behaviour with Dev, from their professional interactions, she's actually been pretty good. It's actually Dev's whose been an ass. First he tried ignoring her when she wanted to explain her diet chart and then questioned her rudely about the chart. Sure she was a little weird with her analogy (of why its better to eat foods instead of take supplements) but she was still professional. And when he offered her the job as his mom's caretaker, she refused politely (again Dev was the one who barged into her office, interrupting her time with another patient).

Sonakshi is a good doctor with a good bedside manner. She's definitely obnoxious (her interactions with her brother and Dev outside of the professional context show that). But that doesn't mean she isn't professional and that she's mean.

The times she has been mean to Dev, have all technically been outside of the office setting. She only got pissed at him and gave him the huge yell-y speech after she got fired, so she wasn't in the professional setting. If anything, I think Dev is actually a bigger asshole to her than she is to him.

That said, I also think the actress needs to do a better side showing Sonakshi's personality in a gentler manner. The promos depicted Sonakshi as this mature, level headed woman. In the show, she comes across as this loud, obnoxious woman. And it doesn't help that the actress isn't that convincing in the 'bubbly' role. I'm hoping she'll tone down as the show continues.

Yeah exactly that's why I posted this...the character is really nice and warm but portrayal is a little shaky but I don't think that's that big of a issue coz everyone learns with time... No one can learn anything in one day either be rocket science or acting and I truly know Erica is also a good actress and she'll improve with time..

I don't get why all of you are calling the female lead a "doctor"?Even in the show she is shown as a dietitian and a dietitian is not a doctor.

Nutritionist or dietitian is not a doctor..first of all. I just wanted to know if Sonakshi is doctor in true sense and then she opted to become a nutritionist or dietitian job.

Whats the purpose of hiring a full time nutritionist or dietation...Instead they should have shown something else if they wanted show Dev-Sona-Dixit family (especially Dev's mother) interaction to move the story forward.

Why Sona's father and elder brother not earning anything? Mystery yet.
There house seems to be very very good...then in which angle they are middle-class or poor family?

@Sona has every right to be angry with Dev. He made her professional record bad, used his wealth to block her job oppourtunities so that she can be a full time dietician to his mother. Dev has floated ethics. So you cant expect Sona to be goody goody with him. Also his mother is insulting the girl day in day out calling her gold digger.
