Hollywood stars against Bollywood stars - Discuss

Recently, i had a very undefeated argument in another thread about the biggest movie star in the world, and there we discussed about how stardom can be decided and stars can be judged.

so what do you think ? Is it possible that Shahrukh Khan can be actually the biggest movie star beating big Hollywood stars like Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Leonardo dicaprio, George clooney ?
Or are we still very much racist and biased to bear the cool and modernized tag and prefer the Hollywood stars more ?

An interesting thing is that recently Bollywood stars have developed carving their own fan base and market in the west markets, and this brings a lot of hope for the development and expansion of hindi films and its stars.

A healthy discussion is expected , please no Sharukh vs Cruise fights like that other thread

but then its believed that a hindi speaking Shahrukh is biggest movie star and language cannot be only criteria . A lot of rural people ( bigger population ) does not watch HW films, and its a minimal percent of the urban audience who will prefer HW.

No actually that thread was too much of Tom Cruise and Shahrukh . comparing these two would never lead to any conclusion. that is why i am asking a more general view that how people think about it here, no strings attached to favoritism just having a neutral POV .
The other thread multiple Tom Cruise fans and one Shahrukh fan battling it out, which was less of being neutral and more about making their favorite star the better one.

lol :P i think bollywood make films only of love n romance ... hollywood moives are way way different even if the actor get old they can work in the main lead because they have different scripts ...hollywood is not an actor industry they are more script oriented ... bollywood is more of an actor industry if u are famous like khan kumars u are in business for long time doing all love stuff ...i love shahrukh but i love amir khan sense of scripts

very well said, HW is much more creative and competitive too, big stars over there does have big ego but they definitely do not consider a rat race which is defined by box office numbers. Bollywood is much more enclosed into one trend, and big stars , less variety, less creativity . This is the only reason i still do not think that Bollywood stars can be bigger movie stars than Hollywood .
I like all the three khans, esp their 90s films .
