I have been stalking this show's forum ever since the show started and was determined not to post, but couldn't help myself. lol.
Anyways, it is pretty hypocritical of him. but, I don't blame him. He cut off all contact with her for 10 years, so the negativity of their last encounter has festered in his heart for a long time now, but that doesn't mean he doesn't yearn for her, which he does. I think shravan has always been drawn to her naturally, attracted to her, he can't stop that attraction anymore then he can stop his hurt.
I actually feel really bad for that shravan of teenage years, how older shravan's smile disappeared when he looked at his teenage self's picture was apt. because that teenage shravan's heart completely broke ten years ago. We don't have all the details of how it happened, but I'm guessing suman's friends found the letter and humiliated him and suman stayed silent to salvage her reputation. Suman not talking to him infront of her friends is still okay to shravan because he can still talk to her after school, but what about when he needs her (at a hypothetical moment)? Who will she choose then? Her reputation, or her friendship with shravan? I think somewhere in shravan's mind was that no matter how much she doesn't talk to him in front of her friends, she will come through at the time of his need. she won't care about her reputation when it is him on the line, she will choose him. But, to be put on that spot. and see that your friend in fact cares about their reputation more than you, at that moment, you realize that your friend has failed you and you realize that maybe this friendship did not mean much to them as it meant to you. because not helping your friend at the time of their need, or even in shravan's case, disregarding his feelings or even him being humiliated, is in fact pretty heart breaking and eye opening. what makes this case worse in sunam's case is that shravan loved her at that time. Love or adoration, whatever you call it, but he was willing to follow her anywhere, because it meant he would be with her. Since he felt so deeply for sunam, it hurt him just as deeply!
So, I understand when shravan says I can't even be angry at you suman because you are not even worth my anger. Is that harsh? Yes! But, any normal human after loving that said person, putting that said person on a pedestal, would feel that after being betrayed by them, whether intentionally or unintentionally. and I feel like for shravan to get over his anger will take time. He will need to know about today's suman to respect her again as he used to. He will need to talk to her and possibly build that friendship again. And I feel like that will take time, but it is absolutely fine if it does! I'm all about watching that process.
Btw, I also have alot to say about suman in this situation, but I feel I will save that for when all the truth comes out of what happened 10 years ago. I feel bad for her as well because I know how much festering guilt kills you (I HATE feeling guilty the most), it's the worst feeling in the world.
Sorry for this long post! lol. Couldn't help myself! 😆
BTW, HUGE HUGE kudos to the guy who plays the teenage shravan, he seems to be a great actor! And he is doing a fantastic job!
