Chapter 17
"Reyaansh! You are drunk!" Taani shouted seeing him standing outside her hotel room. Its been two weeks to her rejection to him. She refused to go back to him after knowing about his marriage. Rey paid no heed to her, he pushed the door open completed and entered inside her room and locked the door from inside.
"Why are you doing this to me? huh?" Rey asked her, grabbing her shoulder he pulled her in his arms. Taani's look at him, her nose scrunched smelling the alcohol off him. She never liked him drinking.
"Reyaansh, leave me." Taani whispered, wriggling in his arms but in response, he tighten his grip more around her, possessively.
"No, little kitty. Please listen to me once." Rey spoke in drunken voice, if she wasn't angry at him, then she would have gladly smile and pulled his cheeks.
"NO!" She denied straight away.
"Then don't expect me to leave you. We will stay all night like this-" Rey smiled cheekily, Taani narrowed her eyes but knowing how stubborn he was, he won't budge until she hear him out.
"Fine! Say what you want to-" Taani grumbled, A warm smile made its way to his lips.
"Okay! So, let me start my with my dukh bhari kahani and after that, I'll accept whatever you will decide-" Taani narrowed her eyes at his words.
"So, as you know, my parents forced me to get married to my childhood friend, but i don't love her. Zillion of times i denied to marry her, but they forced me. Threaten to break every tie with me. I was helpless you know, I love my family more than anything, I didn't want to lose them. But i don't want to lose you also. sharon is my best friend, I can never love her like a husband should love his wife. Even sharon knew this before marriage yet she said yes. We are married now, but not less than any strangers. I stays in my study-room, we are not even sharing room. Please try to understand me, kitty, I know i'm at fault but don't leave me. I promise i'll make everything alright for you, for us."
Rey spoke with pain in his voice. She was looking at him with moist eyes, not able to decide what to do. Her mind didn't want to be with him, it will be wrong, he is married now. Where as her heart wants him, wants to look pass everything and be with him.
"What about your wife? It will be wrong to her-"
"She herself has chose this, taani. I told her everything when our parents asked us for our opinion regarding the alliance. Her one yes destroyed my life, I can never forgive her for that. I can never accept her as my partner because I have given that place to you already." Rey answered, her heart skipped a beat hearing his reply.
"I want to know you better, I want to live my life every moment with you. I want to be with you."
"What about your wife then? I can't be with a married man-"
"Its about just a year. Soon sharon will understand this marriage will not work and we will file for divorce. Then you & me will be together." Rey said to her, giving her hopes of her happy future together.
"Just be with me. Don't leave me-" Rey pleaded to her, not caring if he sounded desperate or something. He just wanted her to be with him.
"And what about your parents?"
"I'll handle them, I'll handle everything just don't leave me." Rey answered her, both were looking into each other's eyes. Taani was in dilemma, her heart & mind were fighting. She knew what kind of her life will be with she chose him, but didn't had any idea about the life without him, nor she wanted to think about that.
With him, she had grown an emotional attachment. She had never experience the feeling of being loved, cared by someone, but he made her experience these two. He pampered her, he made her feel wanted.
The distance between their lips decreased, her heart won over her mind and she closed her eyes, accepting him. She wanted to be selfish for the first time in her life, she wanted to be loved by someone. Rey wrapped his arm around her waist and pulled her into him as he placed his lips on hers, pulling her into a soft passionate kiss. Silently thanking her.
Rey smiled at the memories of those days. He was snapped out of his thoughts when he saw her coming toward him along with his sister. She has turned out to be true angel of his life, who had filled his life with happiness.
"Bhai, today we are going club." Nandini came and told him, Rey nodded in approval and look at taani, who avoid looking at him. He wonder whats the matter.
Then all the others too came there, as decided they all left for the club.
