I decided to take a look at this show after hearing about the sci-fi aspect of the premise, and because I was curious about Rajni...I caught up in a day, and I have to admit that I'm really enjoying the craziness so far! Shaan and Rajni are a riot!

I knew that Karan is a great actor with fabulous comic timing, but I'd never actually followed any of his shows until now. He has taken to the 'genius-yet-grounded scientist' role like a fish in water. His portrayal of Shaan is so endearing and I love how we've gotten to know a lot about his personality through his interactions with Rajni. Shaan's absolute dedication to Rajni is something that simultaneously warms my heart and intrigues me - she is his creation, but there are those instances where he doesn't treat her like a mere machine. He sometimes speaks as though she is a living, breathing being - "Main Rajni ko yoon marne nahi de sakta..." And so I am very curious to see how his view of Rajni develops as the show goes on.

I was so, so impressed with Ridhima's acting prowess in the first 3 episodes, and that only continues to grow each day! Her comic timing is superb, but there's something about the way she delivers Rajni's lines in serious scenes that particularly resonates with me. I remember watching the scene where Shaan drags Rajni to the trash heap and angrily tells her to go wherever she wants to...And then her eyes flicker open. That blank stare stirred up such strong emotions in me, and I was stunned. I think that is an incredible gift - to barely move one's face and eyes, and still be able to evoke emotions in people.

In casting Karan and Ridhima, I think the BHR team has struck gold. They are fantastic actors and they work so, so well together! I really enjoy their scenes because the contrast in their characters' natures comes across so neatly in their dialogue delivery and body language. And what a comfort level they share! Physically, Ridhima never lets the machine-like demeanor slip...Karan can steer her, drag her around, play with her hair, poke at her face, hug her - and Ridhima doesn't bat an eyelid! Kudos to these two, seriously!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how this hatke relationship progresses!

I agree, this show is so well put together by the whole team.

The dialogues , the one liners, and the cast all gel wonderfully.

Ridhima is the cherry on the cake. Absolutely the best show .

It is a fantastic stress buster with its hilarity.

Amazing post!!
i agree with u choosing ridhima and karan for these roles was the right decision(The way they deliver their dialogues, though ridhima is a new face but i think as rajni she's doing well and i can't imagine another one in her place portraying rajni ). I like her acting, her body language . It's true that it's a new concept on tv but i think it will catch many viewers. Btw i didn't watch any of karan's shows before but here i can see he is a good actor.

Loved your post!!👏👏
I love how naturally Shaan portrays his scene, calling out the others when they're being too overdramatic as well😆

As for Ridhima, I'm sold! I think what's great is not only does she stay true to being machine-like, but she also gives off a friendly air. Her natural state is a pretty smile, which makes it so much easier to watch her. Her Hyderabadi was too funny!!🤣🤣

The two act so naturally, and Shaan has no qualms putting his hands "idhar, udhar, aur idhar bhi" (acc to Rajni)😆 Looking forward to more of this!

@mannu100: Thanks! 😊 Let's see what the future has in store!

@Dolly-heart: After the traumatic and dramatic experiences I'd had with other shows being pulled off-air abruptly, I was ready to call it quits as far as TV was concerned...But then I heard about this sci-fi comedy, and I was like, "What on earth is this about?" 😆 So yeah, I am here for the no-nonsense nerd and his robot, the one-liners and the tongue-in-cheek treatment of the family drama! And of course, Ridhima is fabulous!

Thanks! I came upon this show quite by chance, and so far I'm enjoying Shaan-Rajni's antics along with the chaos they are already leaving in their wake, haha.

I think Karan has a refreshingly natural way of delivering funny lines, so it all seems very casual and conversational. I'm grateful for that because it makes Shaan come across as one of those affable ordinary guys who just wants to tinker with his engineering projects in peace. Practical, probably a bit cynical, too. Karan also does a great job channeling Shaan's frustrations into his tone and gestures, and therefore his outbursts make me laugh and feel sorry for the poor guy at the same time!

Ridhima is remarkable! I totally agree about being unable to imagine anyone else in her place as Rajni - she's giving this role everything she's got, and I really think we're fortunate as an audience to have been introduced to her through this. There is tremendous scope for her to showcase her versatility...And as far as I am concerned, in such a short time, she has already proven how malleable she is as an actor. I am so incredibly impressed with her ability to control her body language and expressions to suit the "mode" that her character is in at any given moment. I think I remember her mentioning in an interview that she has theater experience...even more of a reason for me to be impressed!

Hey Borna, fancy seeing you here😆

I'm watching this too but the last few epis have fallen a bit flat for me...these cliched lame angles of "Romantic Rajni" drag the show down IMO.

Otherwise I am liking Riddhima and Karan's acting...actually I really like Papaji too...he's adorable😆...and Shaan's mega Bengali mom Surili has her amusing moments too.

The initial epis were quite good as they built up Rajni, showed some of the conflict b/w man and machine when Shaan banishes her...but the recent epis have been the typical soap fare of cliched romance dikhaao etc. etc.

Riddhima is good but they can do better than simply objectifying her for the sake of gimmicks...like these random item numbers they make her do and even when they are attempting to satirize soap cliches, they don't always succeed...I find her acting faltering a bit in such OTT bits.

Thanks!

Yep, I'm glad Karan and Ridhima were cast for these characters...such quirky personalities, haha.
I find quite a few of the one-liners to be fun, too! Oh, and Dhyaan's Nanaji ke muhavre 😆
