Why doesn't actresses have loyal fanbase as compared to actors??

Irrespective of everything I have seen that the society as well as the media are always very judgemental and is somewhere pulling the actresses down.even in a particular if an actor is wrong the actress is always potrayed as a beggar.

Actors enjoy a very very loyal fan-base because of the characters they get to play. Most of the famous characters/roles have super strong qualities, whom audience look up to. Awe-inspiring, righteous, physically strong, dreamy and very very hero-like. Their characters have a strong build up in movies. We become fan of such characters and eventually to the actors who play them. Meanwhile, actresses don't get to play such awe-worthy characters. They don't get to create a strong image for themselves like actors do (like romantic star, action star, mass star, family star etc..etc..) They have tiny roles in majority of the films. Hence their box-office pull is not as strong as their male counterparts.

um how do i say this. Actors have a longer shelf life then actresses, because he is a 'man'.
Many of you might not agree to this, but it is the harsh truth.

Actresses tend to lose their appeal after marriage or after a certain age. Its actually pretty sexist if you think about it.
Look at Kareena and Aish, once they got married all the craze about them slowly died down.
but its also BW Poducers and Directors fault. They dont prefer married actress for certain films.

Majority of fan base is mostly consisted of teenagers and 20 something year olds who like face and body of the actress. But once she starts aging (or looking mature) then youngsters lose their interest and wander towards a fresh face and all that the actress is left with are few dedicated fans that love her for more then her looks and appeal but they are not enough.

look at vidya people were crazy for her, but then she got married and her physique changed and now its like was really that big.

But i think its slowly changing. Many actresses are starting to have some dedicated fans. It will take a long time for BW heroines to get the same fame as BW heros but it will happen.

I think it is somewhat better in Hollywood. But in Bollywood it's terrible. After 30 or after you get married/have children you're pretty much a lost case. Scripts are not meant for you anymore and you fade out. 1 in 10 actresses will have a post marriage hit/comeback. The rest fail. It's our poor society and portrayal of women...it's really sad that the actors can go a long way but the actresses eventually fade out. We had the best lot of actress in the 90s and though they pop in from time to time no one cares for them anymore. :( It's just wrong perspective. Now this is how it is and it won't change. Actresses will never get the same status as actors.

Sonam Kapoor does! Have you seen her fans? LOL! They have stuck to her since 2007! And goes to watch all her films irrespective of how good or bad the films are.

But ya there are still issues.

Its not only in bollywood its also in hollywood. Its something in the nature. Even in real life you find a man with a certain age still attractive while this disappears with woman. There are only few woman who are still good whatever age they are and these are the ones who are able to survive and will still get one of those handfull good written parts. In Bollywood those parts are even less than in Hollywood.

Sridevi, Madhuri had very loyal fan base for a long time. They were "khans" of 90s. SRK, Salman played 2nd fiddle to these two.

Rani , Preity and Ash enjoyed a solid fan base for good time.

I think this "aunty" trend has started now. In olden times, if you are unmarried till 40, you could pull off as a pure virgin heroine😆.
