Hi! ABI here. Would like to share an story on our Ashna/Ragna with you all. Hope you all like it. Not too long. Contains just 10 to 12 chapters. Starting here...
CHAPTER 1
His mother died suddenly a few weeks earlier. He puts up a brave front, doesn't let anyone know how much her death affects him, how much he is hurting. Others don't bother to look past him, take at his words when he tells them that he is holding up or doing fine. Mostly they leave him alone, too concerned about their own life.
She is shocked and disappointed by these people's. They are the same who claim to be his friends. She told them as much as but they all dismiss her concern saying she is overreacting.
She is not over reacting nor imagining the sadness and pain in his eyes. He is losing himself of his grief.
She can't sit idly by and watch him like this. She steps out of her car. It's been months she is been here. But one look around and she felt like she never left. She might currently live in another city but she consider this her home town. Moreover she consider this place her home.
She may not have ever lived here but this is the place she felt as home, always welcomed her with open arms. Even when she felt unworthy. And the people who lived here were and are her family. He is her family. He needs her.
She heads for Gauri's room because she knows that's where he is. The place is quiet. Sounds of her sandles against the floor as she steps in. Silence and distinct lack of life reminds her that her Gauri maa is gone. And her heart breaks all over again for the loss of the woman who was her friend, maa, well wisher.
Upon reaching the room her eyes immediately fall on the bed corner of her Gauri maa, the lonely figure sitting upon it. He is dressed in a blue t-shirt and jeans, his head bowed, his eyes focused on the photoframe in the side table of bed. He makes no move nor acknowledge her presence but she is certain he knows she is there.
After a moment of hesitation she slowly makes her way over to bed and quietly takes a seat next to him. He still doesn't accknowledge her pressence and his eyes are still on photo. It looks like its the only thing that exist in the world.
Unable to break the silence, she looks at the photo which is an family picture of sighiniya. Picture of Gauri and Harish holding young Raghav. All their smile are bright which reaches their eyes. Shinning with happiness and love. Picture perfect family.
She can understand the mixed emotions he is facing right now as he gazes upon the past. The time that made sense. The time when his world is alive with his most important people of his life are with him. His mom and dad.
Though disturbs her. Does he think he is alone? that there is no one for him in this world who loves him?. No, her reaction was immediate. She wants to grab him by his front of his shirt and shout out that he is not alone and someone in this world loves him and us here for him. But she dismiss her though and lays her hand upon him squeezing gently.
After several moments his focus shifts from the picture to their joint hands. He finally looks at her. She can feel tears threatening to form in her eyes. She have never seen him so broken. She hates it. She wants to fix it. Wants to take away his pain. She doesn't know how? and she doesn't know that she is capable. She was so scared of what is she can't help him? What if there is no way to heal the wound in his soul? What happens if he is drown by his sorrow until he is consumed by it?
No she wont let it happen. Won't let him die slowly by his sorrow and grief. Without any hesitation she removes her hand from his and place it against his cheek feeling the warmth and roughness of the skin.
His expression remains unchanged but he moves into her touch. This caused some hope in her heart. They continue gazing into their eyes. She can see his pain and questions in his eyes. She cannot drowl with him in his sorrow. But she doesn't care and is willing to take any risk
