Can money buy happiness?

This is a topic, that I am sure all of us have come across to, in our life. While taglines, adverts, books or even in movies; we are taught that money cannot buy happiness, I wish to know your personal opinion about it. While it does sound more appropriate to say that money cannot buy happiness, is it really the case? And how much does this line really mean?

I don't think so, I am a firm believer of the fact that money can actually buy happiness. Think about a situation when you have to eat basic foods, where you cannot afford new clothes or cannot take part in any leisure activities that you want, you cannot travel to the places you want or you cannot attend the university you want! Does this situation makes you happy? No, right? So, money doesn't really buy happiness, but what is more important here is that money buys the things that ultimately contribute, insanely, to our happiness!

I'm not essentially greedy about money, nor I am obsessively in love with it, but money does help to secure your own future, and that of your following generation.

So, the next time when people tell you money cannot buy happiness; will you agree or disagree?
I will say that probably it doesn't buy happiness, but hey, poverty or being broke will not make one happy as well!

With that I'll end with a quote:
"Money can't buy happiness, but neither can poverty."- Leo Rosten

It depends on how much value money has in peoples lives.

For poor people who can't even afford the basic necessities of life,Money IS important.
But for rich people who have lots and lots of money to buy everything, but if they don't have inner peace and happiness in their lives then definitely money CAN'T buy happiness.
Some people are happy with whatever life gives them. Some are not...
It depends from person to person.

I would definitely say that money can buy happiness.
Even a small chocolate that makes a small child delighted costs money.Right from a small materialistic thing to amusement park rides everything has a price to be paid. The world is growing up and so are our necessities and wants and it is evolving in such a way that we have inferiority complex, jealousy and the prime cause for all of this is the lack of money because what the others have even you can get if you have money.
Medicines, clothes, food all of them have a certain amount then why can't we simply tag money behind our happiness because honestly happiness, celebration and all other things that leave us content are because of money.

And here let me quote Henry David Thoreau" Wealth is the ability to fully experience life."

Money gives us food clothes and shelter. It can bring happiness. But opinion differs from people to people. Some are content with what they have, others want more money. Its all in the mind.
But depending too much on money doesn't give peace of mind. Some prefer giving money to the needy people and still feel content as well. It all depends on how we look at money and what way we can utilize it.

This does not directly answer the question but is an interesting prospective. Have a look at this https://storify.com/CLAU88HOTMAIL/maslow-s-hierarchy-of-needs

IMO, money plays a very crucial part in happiness. If you cross the "Safety" part of the pyramid into the "Love/Belonging" stage without having a strong financial hold you will not have happiness because money issues will keep eating away on your mind.

We need money to pay our bills but wealth in excess can be a big headache too.
you could get a good Financial Manager to manage things, but many are crooks themselves !😉
