Chapter 1
Twinkle got up from her bed and looked at the time on her phone, 'oh no!' She gasped, 'it's already 9!' She jumped out of her bed and quickly got ready.
Leela prepared breakfast for Twinkle whilst Mahi ate hers. Twinkle came running downstairs, 'tu aagayi puttar' said leela as she saw Twinkle entering the kitchen, 'chal aaja ab nashta karle'. Twinkle quickly grabbed an apple from the fruit basket, 'sorry Ma but aaj nashte ke baghair ki jaana padega, aaj mera pehla din hai college mein and I'm already an hour late!', she rushed out the house as Leela kept calling her. 'Yeh ladki bhi na! Chal Mahi puttar tu toh atleast saara nashta karna', Mahi smiled, 'don't worry Ma, main khaa lungi. Waise bhi I start college tomorrow so mujhe aaj koi tension nahi hai. I just hope ke di ka first day acha ho'. Leela kissed Mahi's head and smiled. Just then Yuvi entered, 'Ma dekho kaun aaya hai' Said Mahi with a smile as she saw Yuvi enter the kitchen. Leela turned around and greeted Yuvi, 'arrey Yuvi puttar tu yahan itni saverey?'. Yuvi smiled, 'woh aunty aaj Twinkle ka pehla din hai college mein so I thought ke usse drop kar deta hoon aur aapse bhi mil lunga'. Leela told Yuvi that twinkle had already gone to college as she was getting late, Yuvi laughed as he sat down at the dining table, 'yeh Twinkle kabhi nahi sudregi' they all laughed as Leela served Yuvi breakfast, 'thanks aunty' he replied with a smile.
Twinkle arrived college, visibly nervous, 'babaji please mujhe bacha lena' she thought to herself as she knocked on the door of her class, 'come in!' Said the teacher. Twinkle entered the classroom and felt every student's eyes on her. She looked up at the teacher who had a name tag with Mr Kapoor written on it and looked clearly annoyed, 'you must be Twinkle Taneja' he said with an agitated look, Twinkle look at him surprised as he knew her name, 'don't be so surprised' he said, noticing her confused expression, 'you're the only one who was missing from my class so of course I would know your name. Now don't just stand here, go take a seat!' He ordered and Twinkle quickly sat down in an available seat with her head down and avoiding eye contact with anyone.
The class ended in an hour and Twinkle was walking in the hallway with her books in her hands, lost in her thoughts, 'aaj pehle din hi daant khaali! Babaji please aage se meri help zaroor karna, aise roz khud ko embarrass nahi karna chahti main'.
Twinkle reached her locker, she put away the books that she didn't need and kept a couple for her next class. As she turned around to go, she bumped into someone, causing her books to fall on the floor. Twinkle looked up at the person and saw that it was a young guy wearing a black jacket and had a stern look on his face, 'dekh ke nahi chal sakte kya!? She exclaimed angrily as she looked at him, 'meri books giraadi!'. The guy looked at Twinkle with anger but then rolled his eyes and walked away. Twinkle stood there with a confused expression, 'ajeeb insaan hai', she thought to herself, 'aise hi chala gaya bina kuch bole. Well I hope I never run into him again'. With that thought, Twinkle picked up her books and walked to her next class.
