Dhurandhar 2 created history in paid previews and on day one and it continues with more history on day with collections of around 70 crore nett as per early estimates. Its the first time that a film has two days at 70 crore nett with Pushpa 2 getting there once. No other film has ever touched the 70 crore nett on any single day. This is just the beginning for Dhurandhar 2 as it will not be going less than 70 crore nett over the next two days and the target is to breach the 80 crore nett mark or even higher.
Despite Dhurandhar 2 setting an opening day record it only set a circuit for day one in East Punjab as far as the circuits outside South India went but that will all change now as the film should send the likes of Mumbai, Delhi / UP, Rajasthan, CP Berar, CI. Bihar and hopefully West Bengal and Assam to totals which have never been seen before.
Generally its been a South domination in the core Hindi markets since Bahubali - The Conclusion followed by KGF 2 and then Pushpa 2. It was only Gadar 2 which broke this monopoly but only in a couple of circuits. Now its time for an original Hindi film to totally dominate the areas where Hindi films ruled for over 100 years until Bahubali - The Conclusion barring a minor exception in 1949 with Chandralekha.
The film stands at around 185 crore nett in two days and paid previews and there will be box office mayhem to another level over the weekend and maybe it can put up another 185 crore nett on Saturday and Sunday.
