diwali!!!

when i think of diwali..i think of firecrackers.. rockets n bombs😆 not in a violent way..(bomb and rockets are like a firecracker used in diwali..if u didnt know)kindof dangerous.. but a lot of funn :D one timee i set off a rocket n it chased my neighbor around omgg 🤣 it was a classiccc moment!!

haha anyways so diwali is coming up in 4 days.. normally i would be very excited but diwali here is nothing like diwali of india..no fireworks or anything ..

but wut r u ppl doing on diwali?
i will just go to mandir, visit some friends, n eat sweets 😆 ..thats it..boringggg 😕
any memories attached with diwali??
for me..all my memories are all about fireworks..the rocket incident haha and the presents 😆

yeah Diwali is celebrated always in a grand way in Suriname.. but this year even more special..coz of the Grand dia which will be placed at the Onafhankelijkheidsplein and which will stay there for a whole week👏👏 i've posted the pic in my topic..but i will add some more soon😉

we do a puja at home..me my 2 sisters and mom, complete with havan kund, aarati etc😉 we offer cocunot white laddoos as prasad and cook lotsa sweets like gujjia, gulgula and other stuff like bara etc, roti and other veg things

and then 7 pm the ghar ki lakshmi..which is my mom. lights up the main dia and from that dia we do the rest and place in every room and also outside the house etc

i love Diwali..more than i Holi teohaar👏👏👏

You also have a Shubh Diwali in advance.....
oh haan.. in Suriname..we don't use firecrackers for Diwali..maybe in upcoming years..but as for now...we don't😉

actually here we do the firework..but only in mandirs..n gurdwaras..but i guess thats better than nothing at all 😳
