Hello people,
Saw there wasn't a discussion post for this episode and decided to make one myself. I had been lying low for a while owing to some personal circumstances, caught up with the last two episodes a while ago. Liked them both but liked this particular one a lot more. Glad that the cat's out of the bag and Sam and Dean know the truth about Casifer. Misha was again so brilliant as Lucifer. Haven't framed my thoughts yet to be able to write more, I might add in later. Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to hearing your views on the episode.

So, get started everyone. (:

Just finished with episode .. another nice one .. this season is going great .. 😃

However , the writers still have a tough task ahead of them - "justifying the loopholes" ... Lucifer-Cass-Cass's vessel - how did this work out ? .. it shouldnt have for so many reasons and they are yet to provide a proper explanation for it .. Lucifer all of a sudden doesnt need Sam anymore , Cass's vessel is the perfect vessel for him ?.. 😕.. the vessel is not even experiencing any side effects of Lucifer possessing it even when that vessel is damaged to the core as it is .. 😕

God is still being elusive 😡 , what we are left with is objects with god's power , nice in a way because it just means more episodes to look forward to .. 😆.. and yup glad that the cat is out of the bag finally .. though i still dont get why someone like Lucifer is even considering sharing his vessel with an angel like Cass ?.. 😕.. cant he just finish off Cass & take the entire vessel for himself ?.. he is Lucifer afterall , not the sharing kind .. 😆.. but then again , this whole "lucifer-cass-vessel" thing is so twisted that you never know what is really going on there , the writers will come up with some BS justification for it & we ll just have to buy it .. 😆.. but for now , i am guessing its because the writers dont want to kill off Cass for the sake of audience .. 😆

^^ I have been ranting about the writers so much that it made me realize that they are the true "god" for the series - whatever they write , they have the power ; whats more - the writers have actually gone as far as projecting themselves as god - Chuck Shurley !.. 🤓.. Narcissistic writers ! 😆

@Frenzy - Its as if the writers don't feel the need to address such crucial questions. How can they not offer any explanation as to how Lucifer is able to possess Jimmy's body with Cas still inside? If they're going to ignore this one too like other loopholes that weren't addressed throughout the course of the show, I'm going to be convinced that they're just making up the show as they go. No cross checking, no fact checking, no detailing, no prior planning, no nothing. Someone get them to answer this particular one already! As for God, I'm of the opinion its better for the show that he does not officially make an appearance ever. As for people of who believe Chuck was/is God, he's confirmed to return for an episode according to the latest spoilers.

@Angel1618 - I quite liked the episode too. Misha continues to be brilliant as Lucifer.

^^ Word ! .. it would be so bad if they don't even acknowledge the loopholes , we - the audience would end up looking like fools .. .. I certainly do hope they have something in store for us .. 🤔

On the bright side , I love the little comic reliefs in the episodes so far .. like in that previous vampire based episode , the teacher was murdered & while Sam was questioning the work colleagues of the murdered professor , one teacher says something like " catch that bas***d whoever did this & turn him inside out " , Sam & Jody exchange funny looks over such a comment .. 😆 .. and in this episode Dean uses the word " hottie" & the guy from 1940s doesn't even understand it .. 😆

Got to say , these little things do brighten up the episodes & all thanks to the writers .. 😆

But that certainly ain't enough to excuse them for even refusing to acknowledge the loopholes .. 😡

Loved the epi... Misha...
Good, Lucifer is sort of active now and they have put a full stop for the moment with amara and her soul snacking...
The whole "Hand of God" concept... I remember Dean had an imprint of a hand on his upper arm 🤔 after he was brought back from hell.. I wonder whether Cass was powerful enough to inflict on Dean.. that "Mark of the hand" or was it from God himself?
Lucifer and Cass sharing the same vessel has already been discussed, so I won't delve into it much, but that scene with Cass over powering Luci temporarily and saving Sam, his struggle to overpower Lucifer was amazingly portrayed by Misha! I wish Cass was witty a bit... this won't have me pinning for Cassifer at all.. 🤔
Now they have no clue on how to use the hand of God correct? That entire spell that Delphine did to make the hand of God holdable by any Mortal... I have got to see that part again.. coz it was after her death that Lucifer was able to pull Dean out of the sub..

@Frenzy - A major reason why Supernatural is still awesome is because the comic relief and MOTW episodes the show provides. Its great how they're able to infuse humour in all situations, both appropriate and inappropriate. 😆 I'm also hoping they'd clear the questions, fill the loopholes and provide us a great season, of what is left of it now.

@Flutterby - Dean doesn't have that mark anymore. He's been dead and revived too many times now. It was the imprint of Castiel's hand, not God's. Cas was pretty powerful back then. Cas taking control of Lucifer in order to protect Sam just goes to show how these three can literally die for each other. They can't use God's hand again, apparently, you could just use it once and Delphine did to save Dean and transport him back to present. I don't think she or Dean had an idea that the object can just be used once. Nor did Lucifer. So, they're back to square one. Right now Amara takes a backseat and Lucifer's the top priority.

I hope it isn't the last of "the Hand of God"... Dean bringing it back from 1943 will be pointless... there would have been a reason the makers showed Dean bringing it back..
Although I didn't understand Delphine using the "Hand of God".. she could have killed herself if the spell/symbol holding Lucifer back was tattooed on her chest... why use the "Hand of God" 🤔 that entire scene wasnt shown properly..

I m just still stuck on the fact that Lucifer can fit in a vessel with an angel and survive. The entire Winchester family and Campbell family suffered for absolutely nothing. I have to bleach my mind to appreciate this story line ..
