everyone here is saying that survi should tell karthik the truth. It seems almost everyone in the forum considers survi's reasoning for hiding the truth as unjustified and out of greatness, but here is why I think she is justified in doing what tai tells her to do and why she is not considered great for doing it.
1. tai has targeted one of survi's weak spots, Lata; the woman who survi considers more than her own mother is currently in tai's captivity and tai is threatening to take her life unless she takes the blame of being sakhi and kidnapping on herself. She can't tell karthik the truth about lata's kidnapping for this reason.
2. even if survi tells karthik the truth he will not believe her accusation against tai and if she accuses tai then he will believe the video to be true and actually think survi is lying to get out of this mess.
My only solution for this is when karthik takes survi into the bedroom to ask her she could tell him the truth but without actually mentioning tai to be the one behind all this and say when she went to the temple she got the kidnappers phone who told her they had kidnapped lata as well and if she wanted to save her family she had to come to the location they tell her and when she got there they threatened her to take the blame of the kidnapping on herself by making a video of her torturing tai and co, and the kidnappers told her they would kill the whole family if she didn't do as she was told. She could say that tai and co have no idea of lata being kidnapped too and that the kidnappers told her to torture them to save them which is why they all think she is the kidnapper. She could also further go on to ask karthik to help her by hiding lata's kidnapping truth from tai and co by saying to let them think that survi is behind the kidnapping and to pretend he hates her in front of all just so the kidnappers don't hurt lata and the rest of the family. Karthik with a heavy heart would defo help survi in this by hiding that he knows about lata's kidnapping from everyone including tai if survi told him this partial lie.
